Random Friday Favorites

It’s Friday already? Why does the week of spring break just seem to fly by?

I’m afraid to blink because I know if I open my eyes I’ll be sitting at Katie’s high school graduation and then I’ll blink again and we’ll be moving her in the dorm all the way across the country. Southwest is probably going to name a plane after me. 😉

We got lucky and accomplished our biggest task for the week on Monday. We found a Senior Ball gown and an absolutely precious dress for Senior Banquet.

Shew…so happy that worked out and we can mark those off the list.  And did I forget to mention we didn’t even bicker? If you’ve shopped with and 18 year old, you know what I’m talking about.

The third dress was the winner, but the other 2 were darling as well.

(we may have to go back for the middle one)

I’ve been going through albums and digital photos for HOURS and HOURS finding pictures for a collage board to be displayed at the banquet and baccalaureate. I figured I’d be nothing but a big puddle by the time I finished, but I was very brave and managed to hold it together.

On to this very random list of Friday Favorites friends.

This CD. I ♥ Thomas Rhett!!! I ♥ him even more because he graduated from my alma mater. This CD is just the perfect thing to pop in this time of year when it’s warm outside, the sun is shining and your driving around with your sunroof open. It will just make you happy!

I promise.

How I never knew about this trick before is beyond me.

I learned about it on…wait for it…the Today show.

All you have to do is take steel wool and rub it on the barrel of your curling iron and it looks brand new.

Love this!!!!

PIRATE BOOTY!

Have you tried this stuff? If you haven’t, don’t let the weekend go by without getting some. I have literally been eating it for years. It’s one of my favorite snacks.

You’re going to be addicted…be careful.

This is some yummy coffee. I found some in Marshall’s probably 6 months ago and picked it up on a whim.  Good grief, we fell in love with it. THEN we couldn’t find it anywhere. Not even online. Every single time I go in Marshall’s, TJ Maxx or Home Goods I look for it and leave deflated.

I finally checked Bed, Bath & Beyond (AGAIN) a couple of weeks ago and they had it. I grabbed my box and ran headed right up to the register, and went back for a second box today.

Are you familiar with a website called “Decor Steals”?

They have mostly things with a vintage vibe and I had put these cute rustic paddle shaped chalkboards in my cart more times than I can count. Well, I finally pulled trigger and bought them. They came this week and were much bigger than expected, but that’s great. I’ve got no idea what I’m going to do with them but when I figure it out, you’ll be the first to know.

SHOES!

I have a love/hate relationship with shoes because it’s so hard to find them to fit my narrow feet.

I’d love to have a closet full like a lot of women, but I just have a fraction of what you girls with normal feet probably own.  These flats are my new favorites. The one’s on the left are mine, I wear them all the time. The ones on the right, will be mine 😉
