Let’s hear it for Friday Favorites

Yesterday felt like Friday all day so I wonder what today will feel like?

This weekend is Senior Ball (I don’t know why it’s not called prom) for Katie so we are totally wrapped up in all the things that go with that. I can’t wait to post pictures next week of her and all her beautiful friends. I hope they do indeed have a BALL!!!!

I love hydrangeas. I’d have to say they are one of my favorite flowers. I’d love to have an entire row or backyard full, but we don’t get the right amount of sun for that. I have one outside my sliding glass door and it’s just about to bloom. I’m. So. Excited!!!

Pedicures! To be honest I rarely get a pedicure but I do love the way my feet feel after one and having someone do all the clean up on my piggy toes. Katie and I went yesterday for her “Prom pedicure” and my “go along and pay pedicure”. HAHA!!!

Black w/white embroidery

Have you noticed that embroidery is everywhere you look this spring?  I wanted to get something that had it and found this adorable shirt at the J Crew Factory Store. I ♥ it. It was really hot here on Wednesday so I broke it out and it was perfection. It’s a linen material so it’s nice and cool and just the right amount of  flowyness. #makingupwords

It comes in the black and white but also a white with blue embroidery which I really liked, but sadly they didn’t have my size.

BP Sandal

I have been looking for a new pair of black, summer sandals with a heel and I finally found THE PAIR!

The heel on these are just right. So many heels right now are so high and I’m just not a skyscraper heel kinda girl. These are feminine with just the right amount of style and they come in lots of colors if you don’t need black. Check them out for yourself here.

Vince Camuto Ankle Strap Heel

I really liked these too, but I think the other pair is going to be more comfortable in the heel. These come in lots of colors as well, and I wish I needed a hot pink pair because they are way too cute!!!

When I was looking, ordering and trying I also got these two pairs. I loved both of them in theory, but  I didn’t think I’d be able to wear them as much as a more basic pair.

Avon Magix

I’ve talked about this product before in my beauty post. Well I’ve been out for a couple of weeks and tried another product I could just pick up in a local store.  I just ordered quite a few of the Avon ones to keep on hand though. I didn’t realize just how much it did for my face until I ran out. I’m Sally Shiny these days and can’t wait for my new stash to arrive. I love that it has SPF 20 in it but doesn’t cause me to shine. In fact it does the opposite and keeps the shine down to a minimum.

Maybelline Master Prime

This Maybelline doesn’t have the mattifying quality the Magix does so if you have a T-zone issue like me it doesn’t do what’s needed. I do like that it has and SPF of 30 and will use it as a sunscreen for my face when I’m not wearing makeup.
