Friday Favorites

So I feel like I’ve been MIA for the last week.

We went to Nashville and got Katie all registered for school in the fall which is coming at us like a speeding train.

I tried to remember to capture as many moments as I could in pictures and next week I’ll do a post on our trip, but it also means many of  my favorites this week are from our trip.  I’m ready to link up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for another issue of Friday Favorites.

ONE

Travel wear

When I’m going to be traveling and especially for a long distance I want to be as comfortable as possible without looking like I’m rolling into the gym. I mean after all, you never know who you’ll run into when your traveling.

These are my favorite Vigoss jeans that are so stretchy and sadly out of stock right now, but the pair I linked look to be very similar. My Lou & Grey Tee is so soft and comfortable but since I’m always cold on planes and in airports I never travel without a jacket.

TWO

Sonic Happy Hour. 

We aren’t close to a Sonic where we live so it’s always fun when we are somewhere that has one. We’d been on campus all day and it was HOT so we wheeled into Sonic for Diet Cherry Limeade…DELICIOUS!!!

THREE

Rain and thunder storms.

Okay, this may sound weird to A LOT of people, but living in California we don’t get to experience a lot of rain and we definitely don’t get to experience thunderstorms.

While we were in Kentucky on our trip (we traveled there as well as Nashville) it came a real down pour or as my friend always says, “It was fallin’ a flood”.

New planners 🙂

Katie and I found these adorable planners in TJ Maxx and decided we’d better get us one. I’ve mentioned before how much I love the paper and party sections at TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and Home Goods. They have the really cute, fun items that look like you found them in some specialty boutique but for a really reasonable price.

It was really hard to choose!

FIVE

I definitely have developed a new addiction to Starbucks.

I am absolutely obsessed with their Caramel Macchiato.

Since Katie is a “Barista” I’m learning the “proper” way to order and what “not to say” when ordering…it’s kinda stressfull…LOL.

I order this drink by saying the following – 

A venti, skinny, iced Caramel Macchiato with extra caramel.

That’s a mouthful!!!!

I’m slowly getting back in the groove of being back at home. We don’t have any plans at all this weekend which is always nice so we’ll just have to see what we end up getting into.
