What? It’s Wednesday already? I’m completely confused as to what day of the week it is.
Katie and I got back in to town from a little mother/daughter vacation last night (more to come on that tomorrow) and so now it’s unpacking, laundry and grocery shopping for me.
The last Wednesday of the month Mel, Shay and Sheaffer host this fun little (make that big) link up where everyone brings you up to speed on what’s going on in their little corner of the world.
Here’s what you’ll find out…
Here’s what’s up at the Richardson house these days.
What we’re eating this week…
Good question! Mother Hubbard’s cupboard is bare. A trip to Costco is on the list for today.
What I’m reminiscing about…
It’s been 3 years since we moved Benny into college and now we are about to do the same thing for Katie.
What I’m loving…
While we were on vacation I didn’t take my Micro-Dermabrasion Paste and when I got home last night I used it and my face felt so soft.

What we’ve been up to…
Tune in tomorrow and see a photo story of our trip to Minnesota.
What I’m dreading…
Getting on a plane and coming home without Katie.
What I’m working on…
When we got home last night I saw these by the door. All my goodies I ordered from Nordstrom came while I was gone. #sorrykent
Now I’ve got to go through all of them and decide what’s rates keeping and what goes back. I’d love to just keep it all, but my wallet doesn’t advise that.
What I’m excited about…
Yesterday we got an email from corporate with this special offer. It. is. phenomenal.
Seriously!
Here’s a break down of just how great this deal is.
$283 is the Preferred Customer Price
($314 is the Retail Price)
What other skincare line do you know that will offer a Gift With Purchase worth $220?
I’m on my 5th Acute Care Patch for the deep crease/line on my forehead between my eyes and can see it working.
If you’ve ever considered trying the Acute Care Patches for wrinkles, now’s the time to do it.
What I’m watching/reading…
Y’all know I’m not a big reader but I was given this book to read in preparation for a bible study I’m participating in beginning in September.
This is a good book to read whether you find yourself in difficult times currently or just need a good reminder to look for God’s hand and faithfulness in everything.
The author uses stories from real people and shows a correlation to the struggles Jacob, Abraham, Joseph and Moses went through. I found it to be thought provoking while also making me grateful for times when I struggle and changing my focus from self pity to growth and focusing on the positive.

What I’m listening to…
At this very moment I’m listening to the tv and Parks and Recreation. Katie came back sick from our trip and is lying around on the sofa watching episode after episode.

What I’m wearing it…
This Pleione top has become of favorite of mine and a lot of others. I’ve had several friends order it after seeing mine. I love the colors and it’s super comfortable. I wore it on the plane with my blardigan and it was perfect.
What I’m doing this weekend…
We are getting together for dessert and cards/games with some friends Friday night and Sunday morning we have “Worship in the Park” where we move our service to the park across the street and then have a cookout. I was “called out” in the bulletin to make Carmelitas. These gooey little squares of heaven are soooo good. It’s a recipe I found on where else? Pinterest.

What am I looking forward to next month…
Next month marks a new chapter in mine and Kent’s lives. I’m looking forward to seeing what that is going to look like and getting into our new “normal”.
What else is new…
Well, let’s see…not much. The next two weeks I’m going to be soaking in the last days of having a child live at home. We will be getting together all the things she needs to take to school and I’m praying every day for God to prepare both of us for this new phase. Katie is so excited and I’m so excited for her. She such a sweet, bright girl and the possibilities are endless for her. This saying always comes to mind and I want to put it on something for her dorm room as a reminder.
Happy Wednesday friends! Hope you are having a great week so far and enjoy What’s Up Wednesday.
Come back tomorrow to see all about our trip to Minnesota.
