Black and White Stripes

Today I’m sharing the perfect any day outfit. It’s casual but put together and comfortable to boot.

We had a different format for our church service on Sunday so I went a little more casual than I typically do and then just wore this the rest of the day.

These are all items I purchased during or after the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and pieces that can be mixed and matched, dressed up or down and have a lot of versatility.

Let’s talk about these Wit and Wisdom black skinny jeans. This was my 2nd pair of Wit and Wisdom jeans that I had purchased, but after they came I went ahead and ordered a 3rd pair…yes, they are that good. These are some of the most comfortable pants I’ve ever worn. They are super stretchy, but don’t bag out. The absolution waist band has an inner part that’s a little wider and and gives your mid-section a little extra support.

*Note: The black version seems to run smaller/snugger than the denim version, so if you want less of a jegging feel and more of a jean feel size up.

The top I’m wearing has sadly sold out, but I’ve linked another option that would work as a good transition piece for fall as well. I’ll be able to wear it with regular jeans, booties and my coral military jacket or throw on my favorite jean jacket when I wear it with these black jeans or pair it with white or colored jeans. They sky’s the limit with this one, not to mention all the accessories you can pair it with.

This is my favorite jean jacket. The denim is extremely light weight, soft and not at all binding.

I think every blogger I read purchased these calf hair flats, so I think it’s safe to say they are a sure fire hit. Pointy toe shoes are very in for the fall and the lace up look still wildly popular. This print is almost a neutral when it comes to accessorizing and adding some interest to your outfits. They can be worn with stripes, solids, plaids and I think if you’re brave you might be able to pull off florals as well. They are comfortable enough to wear even when you have good amount of walking to do and if your feet are on the narrow side like mine, then pointy toe shoes are a big bonus because they often fit better.

I took these jeans in and had them hemmed. They are actually rolled up here since I was wearing my lace up shoes, but it’s pretty exciting to have pants that are the right length. When you are 5′ 2 1/2″ tall, that doesn’t happen frequently.

I have also worn this top with my white jeans for a lighter look and mixed in yet another animal print with my Sam Edelman sandals. I wear these sandals all. the. time.
