Four day weeks are the bomb!!!

Annnnddd….technically for Kent and me, it’s more like a three day week because today we are heading to Oklahoma for a long weekend to visit his parents.

Since it’s Friday you know what that means.

It’s time for Friday Favorites with Erika, Narci, and Andrea.

So let’s get to it.

 ONE AND TWO

I am absolutely loving my new necklace from Kinsley Armelle.

 Every time I wear it I get compliments.

THREE

Guys these days don’t have it easy. Proposals now take a plan and include the families, photographers and friends. They are creativity at it’s best. And thanks to the internet, cell phones and texting we can all share in those special moments. On of my best friends daughters got engaged Tuesday night and of course it was video’d. And YES, that is Vince Gill singing while the proposal went on. I watched,  I cried. I watched it again, I cried again. And as I’m writing this post I watched another video from a different angel and yes…I cried again. It’s just so sweet and Rachel is like a member of our family so we were over the moon excited for her and Wes!

My kids have grown up with her and love her to death so I wanted to see their reactions when I shared the video Dawn (Rachel’s mom) had sent me. I texted the kids, told them to FaceTime me on their computers and then messaged the video and had them watch it while we were on FaceTime together. They were both SO EXCITED for Rachel and Wes. Benny was of course was much less animated than Katie but still excited. Kent told me to take Katie’s picture and I’m so glad he thought about it. Here are her reactions…I LOVE THIS!!!!

 Rachel’s back was facing the camera for the video I sent the kids so they had no idea it was her until she turned around and Wes was down on one knee. OH MY HEART!!!

So excited for them and this next chapter of their lives.

FOUR

I have been looking for these Praline Pecans at Costco ever since we went to Minnesota. They are so delicious and our Costco hasn’t had them…until this past week that is. I went in to Costco when I was in Tracy buying more paint for my bookshelves and FINALLY found them. You know when I find something I like I buy multiples, so two of these came home with me. I stuck one in the freezer (yes, you can freeze nuts, even candied nuts) and one in the pantry.

These Praline Pecans are not only delicious just to eat alone, but added to salads or near the end of roasting Brussel Sprouts, DELICIOUS! I’m sure there are more uses, these are just two of my favorite.

FIVE

We have a Mediterranean restaurant near our house. Now I’ll be totally honest and just tell you that I’m not big on a lot of the food there, but I do like the wraps they serve. Doesn’t it look delicious?

This one has chicken in it with, a cucumber & tomato salad, a little humus, feta & Kalamata olives. But the yummiest part is the Feta Ranch dressing they add to it. 

Heavenly!

This is the same little restaurant that serves a plain, tart, frozen yogurt that has Baklava on top…OH MY!!! Seriously yummy!!!
