I can’t begin to think about my favorites until I first say

This is a picture I just saw for the first time when I was in VA visiting my parents. I went with my aunt to take my cousin back to UVA after spending the weekend with us. We were in her room and I saw this picture. It’s my (favorite) uncle in Vietnam with his pet monkey. Crazy, right? Now I wouldn’t say he’s my favorite if I thought any of my other uncles read this because I love them all, but I’m pretty sure they don’t so I can let you in on that. He was so young and handsome. We lost him about 4 years ago to complications from health issues and I really miss him, but this picture brought such joy to me when I saw it.

BLIZZARDS!!! And not the snowy kind.
Kent and I ended last weekend with a trip to Dairy Queen for blizzards (for dinner). We both agreed we could have eaten at least twice as much but used self restraint and only got mediums.

I shared my recipe for Pumpkin Bread earlier this week here in case you missed it. This is the best pumpkin bread ever. I know that’s a pretty big statement, but it’s that good. This bread is so moist and yummy and I add chocolate chips as if it isn’t already good enough.

I love every single piece of this outfit. The striped tee shirt, the plaid shirt, the jeans, the booties and the necklace. Yep, the entire outfit.
These jeans come in different lengths which are perfect if you are on the shorter side like I am. I’m 5’3″ and bought the 28″ inseam and they are the perfect length for me. I probably wear these booties 3 days a week. They go with everything and are really comfortable.

It’s that time of year….the RED cups are back and for this weekend at Starbucks from 2-5, if you purchase a holiday beverage you get one for FREE!

I stopped by on my way home Thursday afternoon and picked up two Peppermint Mocha’s for myself and one to take by Kent’s office as a treat. As luck would have it he was in a meeting and I couldn’t give it to him, but I get an “A” for effort.

I haven't tried a peppermint white mocha, but sounds delish. I typically get a regular skinny peppermint mocha. I wish more of the holiday drinks were offered in skinny...take a hint Starbucks?. Have a happy weekend!
Those Blizzards look so good, I haven't had one in forever! And I got my first red Starbucks cup today. It feels like the holidays now! :)
