Weekend Recap – Short and Sweet

Saturday morning…loving my new Nespresso VirtuoLine machine. I’ve been playing “barista” all weekend. (and BTW…this is a great deal on the machine and the milk frother, which I LOVE)

My red, print top is a couple of years old but I linked to a similar one by the same maker. Once again I snuggled into my circle cardigan (baby blardigan). I’ve turned into such light weight when it comes to the cold. You sure get desensitized quickly once you move away from that environment.

My kids may not be at home but I love getting to follow along with their activities through Facebook, Instagram and even some texted pictures. 

Katie and her buddies are equal opportunity skaters. Last weekend they went roller skating and it was all she could do to stay upright. This weekend they went ice skating and that was much better since she’d had lessons when we first moved to Minnesota. You’d think if you could do one then the other would be a breeze, but apparently that is not the case.

This sweater is an absolute favorite. It’s from Nordstrom last year and I ordered a similar one in black last week. I can’t wait for it to get here.

 We hadn’t been out to just roam around in a couple of weeks so that’s just what we did Saturday. One of the shopping areas we frequent has been adding on and when we were checking it out I was giddy when we found a new Kendra Scott store. I’m so excited to have one near by.

We were both excited when we saw a new Boudin. We almost always eat at one of these when we go into the city and get clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. Oh my word…so delicious! Now we’ve got one much closer and easier to get to. Yippee!

It’s been a while since we’ve devoted the time it takes to get into Cheesecake Factory but we did Saturday night and topped of our fun day out with a piece of Godiva Cheesecake. I swear I wonder how many pieces of this I could eat in one sitting. I’m not even kidding y’all, I can eat some cheesecake.

Benny’s girlfriend, Erin’s sister got married this weekend. Look how cute these two are. He of course doesn’t read my blog or I would probably get in trouble for posting these. Benny’s not big on having his picture made. I asked him to send me some pictures and sweet Erin sent me these. Talk about thrilling me to pieces. They are just too cute.

And nothing makes us happier than to see that genuine smile on his face.

Erin said she got him to dance even though she knows he doesn’t like to. I told her she must be pretty special.??

Kent has the day off today, so we are going to go exploring. I’ll let you know where we end up.
