Did you think I forgot about Try It On Tuesday?
I know it’s been what seems like a year since I’ve done this. Between the holidays and the recovery period needed in January?, I just couldn’t seem to get my act together to get to the mall for any retail therapy. But not to fear, last week I changed that and made it out and did some trying on for y’all. Grab a seat and your coffee and snuggle in to see what caught my eye…and how it looks on a real person vs. a 10ft. tall supper skinny model who won’t even look at a chocolate covered mango…unlike myself, who will not only look at them but loves them.
This jacket has the cutest fringe detail all along the edge and around the side and back. It would look really adorable with a poppy colored cami or tee under it paired with white jeans and wedges for the spring and summer.
If you like wearing lightweight sweatshirts than you might really like this little top. It’s a great medium weight that’s going to go right from late winter to early spring and will go with jeans, white jeans, black jeans or even colored jeans. It has a fun confetti feel with flecks of lots of colors. I love shirts that have little slits on the side. I think they hang so much better and don’t hug you in the wrong places.
I love this sweater. It’s so soft and versatile and the perfect length. I’ve seen it on another blogger and then spotted it on a friend on Facebook the other day. I see why everyone seems to like it.
Multi-media sweaters are still appearing on the racks. If you’ve tried layering your own shirts and sweater to try and achieve this look then you know it’s not easy. These make it a no brainer and the gathering on the back makes them more interesting.
This is another one that’s a cross between a sweatshirt and a sweater with a cute back. I really like the ribbed fabric on the front and flowy fabric on the back. I’m also a fan of 3/4 sleeves so that’s a ✓✓✓
I can’t find it on Loft’s website yet, but keep your eye out in the store.
From the looks of things ruffles and lace are here to stay for a while. You likely either love them or are not a fan. I love the femininity they add and how you can dress them up or down. This lace yoke and sleeve blouse is the perfect example. Wear it with jeans or pair it with pants or a skirt for work wear.
This little dress is made of the softest, stretchy material and will be another great transition piece or summer staple. I think it would even be a cute bathing suit cover up.
The off the shoulder trend is also sticking around for at least the spring and summer.
This yellow striped blouse is a fun take on mens wear. This is one of those tops that can also be worn many ways from jeans, to pants to shorts.
I love this sweater and if the weather was colder where I live it would have totally come home with me especially since it’s on sale. I like the neck and the cut of it. It would be warm and look so cute with jeans and boots or booties.
A tee shirt with fun details is always a good thing. This one has bell sleeves which are really prominent right now. You’ll have to ignore my dark cami, but it does show you that you’d probably want to wear a light colored one under it since the material is thin.
Another cozy choice for layering. A super soft fleecy inside and cute detail on the back make this jacket a winner for layering every day. It comes in 4 great neutral colors making it easy to wear with lots of tops under it and it’s on sale.
Peplum Back Open Front Cardigan
I tried on so many things I’ve decided to break it up into 2 posts so come back Thursday for Part 2.
Here’s an update on the purse decision. I really loved them both and that’s why I was torn.
Thank you to every one who took the time to help me make my choice. Asking for your input did exactly what I was hoping for. I was hopeful I’d know which one by how I felt when I saw the votes coming in and I did. I ended up going with A – the Kate Spade. Every time one of you said A, my heart would pitter patter and whenever I saw B, it would fall just a tad. The A’s were twice as many so that also validated my feelings. Sadly I said goodbye to B and she went back to look for her rightful owner.?
If someone wouldn’t mind calling the weather man and telling him enough already with the rain, I’d really appreciate it.
Happy Tuesday Friends!!!
Lisa
