Valentine’s Day Treat

If you are the mama of littles or the grand-mama of littles then you are in for a treat!

I have a friend in Nashville who along with her mom and sister owns the cutest children’s store. Today we are teaming up to bring you a Valentine’s Day craft and a discount code to use for a sweet little something from their store

The Little Cottage.

Need a cozy little gift?

An adorable, unique birthday present?

The perfect newborn layette?

Have you ever seen so many cute things?

And just look at these absolutely darling sweaters.

Before you head over to fill your shopping cart, let’s talk Valentine’s traditions and ideas and at the end I’ll share a code for free shipping and a discount for you to use online at their store.

When my kids were little there were traditions we had as a family for different holidays.

Valentine’s Day…the sweetest day…was always a fun day. It started with breakfast. I’d make them a fun breakfast and put a treat at their plate.

You don’t have to make a fancy breakfast, just make a few special adjustments like using cookie cutters to make their toast into hearts.

Of course Valentine’s Day also means parties, so if you are looking for something fun to put on your child’s plate or you like to make Valentine’s treats for their friends in class, poppers might just be the thing you’re looking for.

These are easy to make and you can get the kids involved in the construction or decorating.

~First stop was the dollar store for little things to go inside.

~Next gather wrapping paper, toilet tissue rolls, tape, shredded filler, xacto knife and double stick tape.

E

~Cut the toilet paper tube in half and cut a length of paper wide enough to wrap the tube with just enough for overlap.

~Fill both ends with a little shredded paper and a few little toys. I stuck some tape on the end to keep everything from squeezing out of the ends while putting them back together

~Put ends together on paper and the edge to the roll. Then roll to overlap and stick the paper to the tape.

~Gently gather the paper at the ends (be careful not to tear it) and then tie with ribbon and use scissors to curl the ends.

These little poppers will surely be a fun addition to your Valentine’s celebration and can easily be made for any other parties as well.

Visit The Little Cottage online and use the code Valentines for 21.4% off your order now through Valentine’s Day.? (see what we did there…2/14)

  • Those crackers are so fun- they'd make great party favors, too! I'm not really a baby person and don't get baby fever, but those soft minky blankies and lovies were always a favorite around here.

    • Thanks Al! Oh man, I'm a baby nut. Can't wait to have some grandbabies (when the time is right?), but I know where I'll be shopping.?

    • Thanks Laura! Thankfully I had those papers in my stock pile...I couldn't find Valentine's wrapping paper anywhere. What the heck???
