Weekend Wrap Up and OOTD

Happy Monday my friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I told on Friday I was heading to a retreat for my bible study. We went and it was wonderful. I really enjoyed spending part of the weekend with all these sweet ladies. 

Saturday we were waiting for a session to start and I was sitting between Pat and Cleola and got to share a little of my technology knowledge with them for their phones. This was really fun for me because I’m usually the one getting help from my kids. I also got to teach Pat how to take a selfie. So cute!!! These ladies are just so sweet and I love that I get to spend time with them.

I also introduced them to Snapchat and we sent a couple to Katie. I’m not quite sure they knew what to think, but they were good sports and indulged me.❤️

The weather was terrible Friday night and we had all planned to go out for dinner but opted to eat in the restaurant at the hotel. The wind was crazy and combined with rain…well, nobody wanted to be outside.

While this was a really fun and uplifting couple of days and we spent a lot of time sitting, it was still tiring. I guess talking so much and being “on” for an extended period of time just wore me out. I came home and spent the rest of the weekend just loafing.

Now for an OOTD (Outfit of the Day…in case you don’t know what that means?)

Here’s an outfit I wore last week. It was raining yet again and I wanted to be wrapped up so my circle cardigan, aka baby blardigan was just the ticket.

 My Old Navy jeans are on REPEAT. I’ve ordered some of the more expensive jeans but have yet to find a pair I’m willing to splurge on. These ON jeans fit really well and are comfortable so they have won my heart. 

Okay, so I’m feeling slightly genius with this little trick. When you are short waisted like I am and want to do the “half tuck” with a tee sometimes it just isn’t very flattering because it cuts you in half. Well I just tucked my t-shirt into my pockets and got the same look but it elongated my torso a little. I was too excited and proud of myself. ??
