What’s In Your Makeup Drawer?

One of my favorite things about this here little blog is the incredible community it has opened up to me. Blogging has introduced me to all of these wonderful women and through our blogs we’ve become “virtual” friends. I’d love to hope one day we’ll all meet.

Today I’m joining my new friend Allie from A Gal Named Al and Sara from Moms’ Coffee Date to talk about what’s in our makeup drawers.

I did a post like this a while back (you can read about that here) and for the most part the products I am using are still the same, but I have added a few new things to the mix.

A – I threw my perfume in here just because I love it. I’ve worn Miss Dior for years. I have a few other fragrances that I rotate in and out, but this is my go to. It’s a beautiful floral scent with some citrus notes.

B – Lancome Dual Finish Powder – This is another one I’ve used for years. It can be used dry or with a damp sponge for a more full coverage effect. I use it with my Rodan & Fields Mineral Peptides Brush.

C – Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser in the Brightener shade. I apply it under my eyes in the shape of triangles and also put it on my eyelids and lips as a primer.

D – Lash Boost…I’m going to talk about this at the end ?

E – Rodan + Fields Brush – I love this brush and the way you can put a cap on it to keep it clean and protected for travel or carrying in your purse. The bristles are silky soft and do a great job of applying my powders.

F – Other makeup brushes – I find these at TJMaxx and/or Marshalls. I’ve had more expensive ones, but these work jus as well.

G – Urban Decay Naked Palette – This palette has a great selection of neutrals in both matte and shimmer.

H – Eyelash curler – Now that my lashes are finally longer thanks to my Lash Boost they have a little curl on their own, but I still like to give them a little more with a curler.

I – Avon Magix Skin Perfector – I have an oily T-zone and this has a mattifying quality plus built in SPF20…love that. I’ve been using it for years and tried a few others, but always come right back to this. It does a great job and I can tell on days if I accidentally forget to use it.

J – Cover Girl Blush in Rose Silk – for so many years I used a Lancome blush and then it was discontinued. This is the story of my life…I find a product I love, get addicted and BOOM, they discontinue it. This pink gives me just the right amount of glow without being too much.

K – Mac Gleamtones Powder – This is my new favorite. It’s a combo blush, bronzer, highlighter and it gives my skin just a hint of color and illumination. Love it!

Loreal Double Extend Lash Mascara – This mascara has been a favorite of mine for longer than I can remember. Not only do I like the way it makes my lashes look, I love the way it comes off with just a little warm water, it literally just pulls right off your lashes. (Oops, I forgot toit in the picture)

I talk all about my skin care routine in the post I mentioned earlier, here.

Now I want to really talk about the Lash Boost.

I’ve longed for long (hahaha) lashes my entire life. I was too afraid to try Latisse because it came with possibility of changing the pigment in your eye or staining your lids.

Lash Boost does not carry either of those dangers and it WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

My lashes are crazy long and Kent even comments on them frequently and you’ll just have to believe me when I tell you he’s always Capt. Skeptical whenever I’m trying something new. Trust me friends, seeing is believing.

⇩And here are my own results⇩

Rodan + Fields is running a corporate special until March 9th. Purchase any of our four regimens and Lash Boost and get 20% off both. Become a Preferred Customer and get an additional 10% off plus free shipping along with 10% off and free shipping on all future orders.

Feel free to ask questions in the comments, email me or check out my website. All of our products come with an unconditional 60-day, empty bottle,  money back guarantee.

  • I love checking out other people's makeup! Thanks for joining our linkup! I love your Urban Decay palette, I might have to try it when I am finished with my Naked 2! Your Mac Gleamtones powder is intriguing. I might just check that out! Happy Thursday!

    • Thanks for hosting! I just ordered 2 of the Gleamtones powders last night from the Mac site. It's currently on sale. Yippee! I got one for myself as backup and one for my daughter. You also get to choose a free sample when you order from them, so I ordered them separately to get a sample with each. ;)

  • I'm totally going to try out that Maybelline under eye product! I have the CG blush in that shade, too! I get migraines from perfume, but if I didn't I would totally wear Prada's Candy. It smells so good! Thanks for linking up and sharing!

    • It has a sponge applicator...I like it??. Sorry about the migraines. That's NO fun. Fun to share and link up! Thanks for hosting?
