Weekend Happenings

Another weekend is in the books. The weather was totally wacky and when I say wacky, I mean wacky. We had rain off and on. The sun would be out one minute and then just like someone flipped a switch it was cloudy. We had warm, we had windy and we had chilly. The only thing we were missing was snow and thank goodness it was too warm for that.

Friday I was excited when I opened the front door and found this…

I ordered these and they came. They’re just as cute as I hoped they’d be and they look adorable on. I will be totally honest, they have a 4″ heel and I’m not really one to wear a heel like that on the daily. However I’m going to wear these around the house for I while and see if my feet hurt too bad because they are so stinkin’ cute and they will go with EVERYTHING and I’m really hoping I can hang tough. I’ve already tried them on with jeans and l❤️ved them and I know they will be adorable with white jeans and all the summer dresses. Everything about them is perfect. (except the heel height for me) I love the color. I love the cut. They aren’t too high on your ankle and the perforation…well it’s just too cute. Cross your fingers that I like the way these feel, because I really want to be able to wear them all day, every day.

This sweater also showed up and I’ve been dying to get it and try it on. So here’s the deal. I love the way it feels and the length. I thought this color might work with a lot of my clothes for the spring and summer, but when I tried it on it just kinda died on me. I chose this color because the pale pink peach

Halogen Long Linen Cardigan

Here’s the one I wanted and if you shop Nordstrom much you know to just continually check their website because items come and go repeatedly. I kept looking and BAM it was back. I stuck it in my cart and ordered it as quick as I could. It should arrive this week. I ordered a Petite Small and it fit really well.

Saturday we went back to a new pizza place that just opened called Pieology. Have you heard of it? The concept is like Chipotle but for pizza. You order at a counter and “build your own” or choose one of their house specialties. We really like it and will be going back. I think my favorite thing is the crust is thin. I’m a think crust girl for sure.

I love pesto on pizza so that’s what I had with Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, feta and chicken. YUMMM.

Kent had this meaty masterpiece made and was equally pleased.

As you are waiting in line they have this HUGE board with inspirational sayings and even some bible verses on it. I don’t know about you, but whenever I see a bible verse somewhere I’m…

 Anytime I see a picture of these girls my heart is always elated. They are so cute and happy and that makes a mama’s heart happy. Best of all Katie comes home Friday so you know what that means…

I’m going to be floating around here all week just waiting for Friday to get here.

AND look at her lashes!!! She’s been using Lash Boost since Christmas and they are so beautiful!

Now for my favorite part of the weekend.

This little doll baby is Hunter. He’s just adorable and I loved on him all through church Sunday morning. He slept just like and angel the entire service and I ate up every single second. Can you think of anything sweeter than holding a precious little sleeping baby? Not me.? Thank you for sharing with me Jessica.
