Back To Reality

Yep, I’d say this about accurately describes the day after a 3 day weekend. I love em’, but it’s just enough time to almost get in vacation mode and then get smacked right back into reality. Here’s to a four day week people.

So this cute little guy right here is entering the work force today. Consider my mind blown. Wasn’t I just dropping him off at preschool last year? It’s just he craziest thought to realize he’s a grown man, graduated from college, with a job in the field he studied for. We are so proud and excited to see just what the future holds for him. I hope he has the best first day ever!

You’d probably be disappointed in me if I let a holiday weekend get by without a little shopping, so rather than let you down I took one for the team and did a little browsing.?

Katie hadn’t seen the new Anthropolgie yet, so we went and I hit up the sale room and found a couple of things to try on.

This top has the most beautiful lace on the bottom and the bottom of the sleeves. I had to give it a try. I didn’t think I’d wear this color much so I left it there, but it’s a beautiful top. (I couldn’t find it online)

This adorable swingy top was a cross between a sweatshirt and a cute linen blouse. I loved it, but Katie said I looked like I was wearing a hospital gown. Again, this blue wasn’t a color I was sure I’d get much use out of, but if they had it in store in the white, it would have come home with me.

We also hit up Loft before leaving.

This might be the worst picture in the history of dressing room pictures, but I’ll share it anyway. This is a sweet little striped tassel top and would look darling with cut off jean shorts. I passed on it, but did bring the other two hanging there home and totally forgot to take a picture of either of them. They’ve both sold out on line, so I was excited to find them in my size in the the store. I found one similar to the red one online here.

Here’s what I’ve come to realize about Loft. They offer a lot of items online that aren’t available in the store and most things look better on “real” women vs. the models. I always seem to find a lot more items when I’m on their website than when I’m walking through the store. 

Here are just a few of the things that are online you’d miss if you didn’t check the website and a lot of items are 40% off along with all sale styles.

This basic tee with the added tie detail at the shoulder makes it super cute and dresses it up just enough.

Same goes for this cute sleeveless tee. The addition of the flutter sleeve dresses it up to make it special. I’m not really a tee kinda gal myself very often, but I love a little detail on one.

See, now I just fell in love when I found this adorable little number. It embodies so many of the spring/summer trends. Stripes✔️ Embroidery✔️ Lacey detail✔️

Love it!

Cami’s like this are a great layering piece and you can find them in a lot of stores. This is another online exclusive you’d miss if you didn’t hit the website. I love the way the back is made and you can see it’s a little roomy and flowy so it won’t be clingy.

Nordstrom is still having their half yearly sale, so it’s not too late to grab some cute things there too.
