For the last two years we’ve had a graduate to celebrate and a graduation ceremony to attend, and for the last two years I’ve bought new dresses that when the day came, it was too cold to wear them. Insert all the sad faces here. As if it isn’t stressful enough just trying to decide what to wear, then you’ve got the weather to worry about on top of that.
I ordered this beautiful navy lace shift dress from Loft to wear to Benny’s college graduation 2 weeks ago but thankfully I had a backup packed and didn’t have to freeze my tutu off.
I was able to wear the navy dress to church on Sunday and had Katie grab some shots after we got back home. My exact dress appears to have sold out, but you can find two super cute options here and here.
I paired my favorite Kendra Scott hot pink necklace and earrings along with my new hot pink shoes to add some pops of color. These sandals are the perfect heel height. Tall enough to be eye catching, but just low enough to make walking in them easy and comfortable.

It was cooler in the morning and I’m always cold inside (except for the occasional hot flash) so I added my white jean jacket for warmth.
