I can not believe it is the first day of August. I know for some of you summer is drawing to a quick end with the start of school. I’ve mentioned before we’ll be attending a wedding in October so with the Nordstrom sale I decided it was the perfect time to order some dresses and see if any of them fit the bill. I ordered two in this gorgeous blue color. This one I returned immediately because the fit was awful for me. It ran really large and I looked like I was wearing a sac.
This one however is gor-geous! I love the color, the style, the fit. It’s just a beautiful dress.
I knew I wanted to pair it with a necklace and cute clutch. What better way to accessorize than add a little sparkle and some fun animal print.
A nude heel is the perfect shoe to elongate your legs and not take away from the dress itself.
Mine are from Target and they are great for occasional wear, but if I was going to wear them for an extended period of time I’d order these. I have them in hot pink and dark turquoise and they are really comfortable.
Katie loved this dress and told me so many times how much she liked it. So here’s the kicker. I know I’d only wear it to the wedding and then it would be left to hang in my closet. Sadly we don’t have any place to go that I would wear it again. I guess I’ll be taking it back and continuing my search. If we had a Christmas party that was dressier, a cruise or even a high school reunion or something like that I’d want to keep it. I’d order it in the regular length though. This one is just a little short for my almost 50 year old legs. (For size reference I’m wearing a 4P)

Nooooooooooooo!!!!! DO NOT RETURN IT!!! This dress is so stunning on you, girl you need to find some other times to wear it. Can't you wear it in Hawaii? It's just so dang perfect on you. I wish I needed a dress because I'd order it in a heartbeat. The accessories are perfect too, your legs look a mile long and so shapely. All that working out is showing my friend. Just like all my lemonade freezer pie eating is showing but I digress; keep the dress!!!!

I wish we could just share it. Winner, winner! I thought about the Hawaii trip, but a friend that owns a timeshare there says it's super casual everywhere. It's also pretty thick material. I think I'd melt into a puddle. Thanks for being such an awesome cheerleader!!! XOXO

This dress is SO cute. I seriously just pinned it AND that adorable clutch, because I want both! Sadly, I don't have anywhere to wear the dress... but, the color and design of it is just gorgeous! That clutch looks so versatile, so I will still consider it. :)
