I love a good prompt for blogging and making my life easier as far as thinking of things to write about. I missed The Blended Blogs link up yesterday and thought I’d do it today and what were the odds that Andrea’s Show and Tell Tuesday prompt would be the same?
So what are my guilty pleasures?
Well I bet you can guess my first one since it seems to come up frequently.
YES! ICE CREAM!!!
I love all things ice cream. This is really hard to reconcile considering I’m always trying to keep any extra pounds at bay but I just can’t resist cold, creamy ice cream covered it gooey hot fudge with crunchy candies and nuts on top. I bet now you want ice cream for lunch. I do.
I’d actually probably say a lot of food comes under the heading of guilty pleasures. I love to eat! Oh how I wish I was one of these people who just didn’t care about food, but I’m quite the opposite.
NAILS
Another guilty pleasure I have is getting my nails done. I go through phases where I keep them “on”. Meaning I like to have what looks like a french manicure at all times but they are really a gel/acrylic done with pink and white powder. My hands look so much better when I keep them on, but I do them for a while and then take 6 months to a year off to let my natural nails recover. I just had them done 2 weeks ago for the first time in 8 months.
PURSES
I like to have a nice quality purse. Do you say purse or handbag? I think that might be a regional thing and in the south we would say purse.
TRAVEL
I would also say travel is a guilty pleasure….usually. This last trip was just a struggle…LOL. We are fortunate to be blessed with the means to travel frequently and you already know my favorite destination is Nashville to see my kids. I’m so lucky I have the time and resources to be able to visit them every couple of months.
Okay, enough about me and my guilty pleasures. Sound off in the comments and tell me some of yours. It’s always hard for me to think of things like this at the moment, but later I’m sure I’ll think, “why didn’t I include xyz…”
Happy Tuesday friends!!!

When are we going for ice cream friend? Love pretty purses! I'm deciding if I need a few shelves for them in my new closet? What do you think? I hope you have a terrific Tuesday my beautiful friend! With the prettiest nails!
Thanks cutie-pa-tootie! Yes, of course you need some designated shelves. I just asked Kent the other day if he needed a project...LOL I want some shelves in our closet. You'd better believe when we finally meet there WILL BE ICE CREAM!!! XOXO
I'm with you on the ice cream! I love it year-round!
It's so weird, because this has been new in just that past several years, but oh my...I'm obsessed!!! Thanks heavens for Halo Top!!!
I used to have a different colored purse for every outfit so by the end of the week my backseat had a pile of purses. Does that show my age? Ha. In the last few years I've bought a "good" black and a good tan purse for every day wear. I still have some pretties for the weekend or special occasions. Have you seen purses by the Splendid brand? They are really nice. Shoes are my guilty pleasure. Some people "stress eat" and I "stress buy shoes."
Oh my gosh Lisa, that sounds just like me. I have a black and a tan that I alternate. I'm just too darn lazy to change my bag frequently. I love that you had a back seat full of purses. That's hilarious. I love shoes, but a narrow foot keeps me in check. Stress shoe buying is better for your waistline but murder on the wallet. I'll have to check out the Splendid brand. I didn't realize they did purses too. Thanks for the tip! Happy Tuesday!
Ice cream is definitely one for me too. I can't wait every summer for the ice cream stand to open. It's just better than ice cream at home. ;)
YES, and why is that? Crazy, but true!!! Here's to a few more visits to the ice cream stand before summer is over.
I noticed how good your nails looked in a picture you posted this weekend. I'm taking a break from gel nails right now. I usually wear them in the fall and winter! Girl, I love me some ice cream!
You gotta' take a break sometimes! But not from ice cream?
Ohh yes, you can never go wrong with yummy ice cream (though I prefer candy chunks to nuts), nice nails, fabulous purses and travelling!
I'll take candy chunks too. I'm an equal opportunity ice cream topping eater...LOL Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Yes, food is definitely a guilty pleasure for me! Like you I wish I viewed it as something I needed in order to survive but no such luck. I really need to have my nails done but I hate spending the time, isn't that horrible? I can't stand devoting an hour or so every few weeks to maintain a nice set of nails! It sounds pathetic, ugh!!!!!
I love a good purse too. Always have and always will. Although in recent years I haven't bought as many as I used to. Shoes used to be a guilty pleasure of mine but not anymore since most are too uncomfortable.
I'd say I love a great meal, a good book, an awesome shopping trip, and a night of binge watching a Netflix series would all be my guilty pleasures!
Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday and now I'm craving an ice cream sundae!!!
xo,
Kellyann
The whole time thing is another reason I end up letting mine go from time to time...I just get tired of dealing with it. It's hard to justify buying too many nice purses, at least that's how I am. I looked for your wedges in our Nordstrom and couldn't find them. I'll check the Nashville store if I'm in it while I'm there. It's almost Friday eve and the first week with students is behind you. You've earned a big ol' ice cream. XOXO
I want to invest in a nicer purse, but I'm not into name brands. Every time I find a beauty at TJs or Marshalls, it turns out to be some insanely priced Italian leather bag, and my teacher salary just tells me NO! I'm sorry to be so late to check in with your blog- my new schedule is so so different!
The Italian leather ones are nice, but pricey. I hope you'll adjust to your new schedule quickly and are liking your new fellow teachers. Never feel like you need to apologize. I'm late so often or even let a day get by. Life happens friend. I'm always happy to hear from you. Early or late.?
I love ice cream too but I have to really keep myself in check these days! And travel! Yes! I love to tag along with hubby when he travels! Visiting from the Blended Blog...

I am in such good company on the ice cream...LOL It's universal. I wish my husband would travel for work occasionally and I could go. When he did travel we had little kids so I would stay home and eat fruit loops for dinner while he was dining like a king.? (but I'm not bitter...hahaha. #imreallynot) Thanks for stopping over and commenting!
I love the Dove ice cream bites as a sweet treat...and just had one now as a little ice cream to finish up the day.
I also like it Better when my nails are done...like this week. I then bet busy and then they look bad for a while. Here's to trying to keep our nails done!

Hi Patty! I used to buy those Dove bites too...they are sooooo good!!! I haven't seen them in the stores around here and wondered if they'd quit making them. Yes, let's keep our nails done...LOL I'm going to need to get a touch up while I'm traveling and I've got to find a different girl to do them here when I get home from taking Katie to school. I had a girl I really like, but I think she must have quit so I went back to a girl I had gone to a couple of times and didn't like the way she TORE up my cuticles and made them bleed. That's exactly what she did this time too, so I won't be going back to her. OUCH!!! Hope you are having a great week!
