Friday Favorites #70

I won’t say I’m sad to see Friday roll around this week, but I’m also not ecstatic since it’s Katie’s last Friday at home. Next Friday she and I will be Nashville getting ready to move her into the dorm for her sophomore year of college. Unbelievable. Unbelievable that summer has flown by and that she is starting her 2nd year of college. Time really does fly.

This week was very uneventful for us so I’m a little low on favorites. Tomorrow we are going into the city for the day to do our normal little routine and get some of our favorite eats before she leaves.

Just like every Friday I’m linking up with a bunch of sweet bloggers to share. You know, I use to love to read magazines, but they have been replaced with blogs. It’s amazing the sweet friendships I’ve made through this here little space. If you are looking for a way to connect with some really fun women, then be sure to check out some of the bloggers in the link ups.

Let’s get to it.

So while I’m a self declared summer time girl, I will admit that I like changing seasons and decor. I mentioned on my Insta story over the weekend these adorable pumpkins in the Grandin Road catalog. If you are a DIY’er these would be pretty easy to replicate and fun to do.

Hmmm…do you see a theme here? LOL. I wore some oldies but goodies this week. Yesterday I didn’t even put on makeup. (hence the shine on my forehead) I was being a domestic goddess and doing laundry and some cleaning so I just threw on my leggings and a favorite cozy tee and was good to go.

I shared this recipe yesterday. I’ve been making this for at least 10 years and we still like it just as much as the first time we had it.

Whenever we go into the city we have to plan for it to be about 20 degrees cooler than it is at our house and windy. I’m dying to wear my new tie front sweatshirt and thinking this just might be the perfect opportunity.

Saying I love to exercise might be an overstatement, but saying I love the way I feel when it’s done is definitely a favorite. I’m continuing to do the workouts from the FASTer Way To Fat Loss and getting stronger and can see the changes in my body. There’s another round starting up Monday and then another one will begin in September.  I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about this program.

  • You look great as always! That tie front shirt is adorable. Have a great weekend!

    • Thank you Tara!!! I will...big ice cream sundae headed my way tomorrow. (I think I have a problem!!!!)

  • Oh sweet mama, we CAN do this! You look amazing and your workout regimen is to be envied! I love looking through the Grandin Road catalog...CUTE pumpkins!! That tie front sweatshirt is perfection on you! I'm thinking if you did go to college with Katie, the other girls would just think you're her sister, not her mom!!! You look THAT GOOD! ;-) Enjoy this weekend my love!!

    • Oh Andrea! You are the best! And if anyone could pass for a college girl, it's you my friend. I can't find a single wrinkle on that beautiful face. So not fair! Have a great weekend and kiss those boys every chance you get! XO

  • I'm starting the FASTer Way to Fat Loss on Monday--so excited! Any prep tips I can do over the weekend before we get started? Thanks!

    • Hi Sara!!! That's so great! I hope you like it. You'll be soar for a while, but then you know your working hard. I wish I had some super cool tips to share. I'd recommend looking at clean eating recipes on Pinterest and I shouldn't say this...but eating things you know will be off limits...LOL The hardest part is just measuring and logging food, but it will get easier. Good luck. Let me know if I can answer any questions as you are going along. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

  • Happy Friday Lisa! Hope you have a great weekend spending time with your girl before she heads off.

    • Thanks Shelly! We are soaking in every single second. We've just had the best summer working out and paling around together. She told me today she was going to miss me.❤️❤️❤️Sweetest words ever. XO

  • Well you had me at 20 degrees cooler and windy! Oh how I would LOVE that weather. That little tie front sweatshirt will be perfect and it's so stinkin'cute on you! I'm sad to see Summer leave along with our college kids but I guess it has to be. I will say this year will be easier than last because we know what to expect so at least there's that. And the sweet new friends I've made blogging, like YOU! Have a marvelous weekend my friend!
    xo,

    • Wish you could join us for a day in the city! It's fun and quite the sight. I hate to send her back and I know you do to, but you're right we at least know what to expect. I'm constantly telling Kent and Katie about things my friend Kellyann or Andrea or Allie or...so many new friends said. I just love all the sweet friendships through these blogs. Enjoy your time off this weekend. XOXO

  • I meant to email you but accidentally passed on the latest Food Network issue before I could. It has a whole section of places to try in San Fran! Hope you all have a great time!

    • Thanks Allie! We're so boring...we stick to all of our old favorites...but we really should branch out. Have a great weekend!

  • Your city outfit looks fun and comfy at the same time. I hope you have a wonderful time. I love Grandin Road and wish I could order the whole catalog!

    • Thank Tanya! Grandin Road has such beautiful stuff. I got a gorgeous wreath, garland and candle wreaths on a great deal several years ago. Have a great weekend!
