Friday Favorites #90

Hey friends! I’m so happy you’re here for this weeks Friday Favorites. We’ve made it through the second week of January. Can you believe it? This Friday even brings a long weekend for a lot of people. It’s nice to have another little break after being jolted back into real at the end of the holidays. We had about a day and a half of rain this week and I’m always amazed at just how quickly things start to green up. This is the time of year when the hills become really pretty and I have to tell you it always makes me in a happy mood when things are green. Is that weird? 

Leaving this girl at the airport doesn’t fall under the “favorites” category, but this “athleisure” look I threw on to take her to the airport does. I wore my favorite Zella capri leggings and Free People Cowl Neck tunic (that I now have in two colors) with my black Nike sneakers. Oh, and we can’t forget my new bag?. We have to pay a dime for shopping bags here so this bag is perfect when I’m running out and don’t want to mess with carrying a bag in the store. If I buy something, I can throw it in here and head for the car…for FREE. LOL!

These two loving on each other…definitely a favorite.

Wednesday Kent and I spent the day with each other at doctors appointments. He had to have a “precautionary” test (you can probably do the math), and I had an appointment with an eye specialist to make sure I wasn’t developing glaucoma. (which I’m not??) I wore some tried and true favorites for all of our running around that included my black skinny jeans, striped sweater (similar), military vest and leopard flats. As Kent and I were sitting in the waiting room waiting for my eyes to dilate, I looked at him and said, “you do realize this is our future…sitting in doctors offices together”.? #herewego

I ordered this sweater that I affectionately call my “grandpa sweater” after seeing it on several other bloggers. Well, not only is it a great deal at less than $30, but it’s also super comfy and guess what else. Yep, cozy. I’ve worn it twice this week and I’m not even ashamed.

Funny thing about Friday Favorite posts. When I start out I’m somehow not quite sure what shape they will take. Yes, I’m a fly by the seat of my pants blogger. That’s something I’d really like to change, but I’m not very good at sitting down and actually planning out posts. If you are a blogger and have advice on that, feel free to leave it. Anyway, this post is turning into more of a review of what I wore this week.

This cardigan from Old Navy is a great alternative to some of the more expensive options. It’s nice and thick and just a little shorter, which is good for those of us who are vertically challenged.

On a side note, if you haven’t seen Greatest Showman yet, GO! We went last Friday night and LOVED it. Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron both did an amazing job!

Okay, last one. I promise. If you haven’t started a collection of Barefoot Dreams cozy items yet, I just have one question. What are you waiting for? I now have 3 different sweaters from them and love each and everyone of them. I gave Katie one for her birthday and she wears it all.the.time.
