friday favorites #97

Hey y’all! We made it. It’s March! In my book that means the dullest months of the year are now behind us. Hallelujah!!! March means spring is headed our way!!! It’s also Friday and that’s double the reason for celebration. Only one more week and Katie will be home for a visit.  Being Friday and all that, it’s time for Friday Favorites.

BaubleBar had a sale last week and I snatched up a couple of things I’ve been eyeing for a while. I can’t wait til’ they get here and I can start wearing them. I saw who else, Kellyann wearing the gold necklace, and every time I saw it on her I wanted it a little more. The tassel earrings have been on my wish list since last spring. The other necklace was just too good of a deal to pass up. $10. What?!

Does anybody else think gingham is addictive? I loved it from afar for a long time and finally took the plunge. Now the problem I’m having is not having too much. Is that even possible? I found this little cutie at Target the other day. Bell sleeves✔️ Peplum✔️ Gingham✔️Love it. I can’t find the exact one online, but this one is super similar.

And doesn’t it look cute with a little leopard? Gingham and leopard are a match made in heaven.

This is the top I bought last year at Loft and loved. If you missed out on it, then you definitely need to find the one at Target. Black and white aren’t your thing? They had in the store in blue and white too. Wait! Maybe I need that one?

As long as we’re talking about Target (we were talking about Target weren’t we?) When I was looking for the gingham blouse to link, I came across a couple of other cute tops.

This OTS chambray tunic looks like the perfect weight for spring, the perfect length and those ties on the sleeves are adorable.

And this sweet little floral peasant top will be perfect for transitioning to spring with so many different bottoms. Think denim, white, pink, black.

If you know me very well then y’all? know “y’all” is my word. Once we left Virginia and moved to Minnesota I literally couldn’t go anywhere without someone asking me where I was from. I get it here in California too,  but not quite as much. Anyway, I’m feeling like I might need to get this shirt.

Kellyann and I had so much doing another post together and y’all have been so sweet about it. We both agree we definitely want to do more. If you missed it earlier this week, you can read it here.

Katie comes home next Saturday for spring break and we will be doing all the wedding things. That means looking for all the dresses we both need. We’ve got showers and rehearsal dinners we need to shop for.  If you’re new around here, our son is getting married the end of May and we are so excited.  The timing for her visit is perfect because I’m needing a booster shot from at least one of my kids. #readyforsomefreeentertainment #missingmykiddos

I’m so excited and flattered to be joining a group of awesome bloggers for the Ageless Style Linkup once a month. This is a post where we all do our own take on one trend or style. They’ve been doing this for quite a while but my first one will be next Tuesday. (don’t forget to check it out?)  These ladies are wonderful and I was just flabbergasted that they thought of me.  Time to get my thinking cap on and get to work. Thanks so much y’all!

Hope you have the best weekend friends.

  • Congrats on Ageless Style! A college boy comes home next Thursday, other is going to Florida. Boo, lol. I got that big Bauble Bar gold necklace and love it. Might have to head to Target today after seeing all that cuteness. You are the cutest of all from this post in that black and white gingham! Happy weekend gorgeous!

    • Well thanks sweet friend. I was totally shocked. Oooo, we should do something with all 3 of us sporting our big gold bauble necklace. Hope you’re having the best weekend! XO

  • I bought nothing - nada - from the Baublebar sale, in fact, I didn't even look and now I wished I had! I was trying to be so good. Funny- yesterday I ran into Target and I saw that gingham top and of course I wanted it but put it down, yes, gingham is addictive. But I think it's ok if I start buying it in other colors besides black and white - ha!!! Nolan starts SB tomorrow, he'll be for a few nights and then he has plans with his friends. I'm thrilled to see him if even for just a bit. Thanks to you he and I have been snapping so that's been nice too.
I'm excited for y'all to start wedding shopping!!!! I cannot wait to see what you get, May is going to be here like nobody's business. I'll bet Bennie and Erin are super excited. I remember how I excited I was before our wedding. What a fun time!
    I'll snap ya later!
    xo,
    Kellyann

    • WOW! I’m impressed with your self restraint. This is actually my first BaubleBar purchase. Can you believe that. My box came today but I forgot to open because we were headed out. I’ve got the cutest yellow gingham dress hanging upstairs I ordered. I need to try it on and see how it looks. Enjoy Nolan!! Hope the rest of the weekend is wonderful! XOXO

  • Oh, my, if I buy one more piece of black and white my closet may scream at me, but I LOVE IT and that gingham shirt is adorable!!! And, I wouldn't have it any other way but it's just a little harder for us to have "our" time. Plus she now lives 8 hours away.

    Happy weekend Lisa!

    • It’s so hard not to love black and white. Hope you are having a marvelous weekend! XO

  • I love a lot of things at Target lately! I actually almost sent you a pic of my latest outfit because only you would appreciate the thought I put into it but alas I didn't have a selfie stick at school! My brother is getting ready to get engaged so I'm looking forward to some wedding event fun here too. Hope you have a great weekend with gorgeous weather!

    • I wish our store was better. Sounds like you need a selfie stick at school so you can send me pics?. Hope Ari had a wonderful birthday today. That’s exciting about your brother! Will the kids be in the wedding? Erin and Benny aren’t having any kids in theirs. ?. We had HAIL today…it was CRAZY! Enjoy the rest of the weekend! XO

  • Congrats on the link up party! I saw that gingham blouse in Target last week, but the size I needed would have made me look huge!! I have to be careful with patterns! Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

    • Well thank friend! I was talking to my mom yesterday and one of the first things she said to me was, “that gingham print is too big for you” LOL, thanks mom? Hope you’re having a great weekend!

  • That y'all top is for you and it would be rude to pass up on it Lisa, so go girl! Wishing you a happy week with lots of Katie hugs at the end of it, x.

    • Aw, thanks Mary! I’m counting down the days until that girlie gets home. Have a great week. XO

  • Aww! I bet you are looking forward to Katie being home. All of the wedding shopping will be so fun! Does your son have a date picked yet? My kids will be on Spring break in 2 weeks, I'm looking forward to some downtime with them! I really, really love that big bauble necklace in gold!
