Hi friends! Thanks so much for stopping by today. This is my second time to participate as a member of the Ageless Style Link Up. If you aren’t familiar with it here’s what we’re about…
The Ageless Style Link-Up – The first Tuesday of every month ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.
This month Jennie picked the color yellow as our theme. Yellow is such a happy, springy color and the funny thing is a lot of women tend to shy away from it. Honestly, I hardly have any yellow in my closet. I have been adding some mustard yellow and am finding I really love it. As luck would have it, I had already ordered this adorable yellow gingham dress and had it hanging there waiting to be photographed when I found out about our theme. I love it when things just fall into place like that.
I could have gone with a neutral shoe for this dress, but decided to add just a little more color and paired it with teal/turquoise block heel sandals. Mine are sold out, so I linked to these. I love how they compliment each other.

Turquoise shoes call for turquoise jewelry. I ordered this necklace and earrings during a recent Baublebar sale. Would you believe it was my first time to order from them? I love both pieces. I also got this necklace which is quickly moving to the top of my favorites list. Turquoise jewelry is a must have for spring and summer. It goes with so many other colors and adds a little drama to what could perhaps otherwise be a little boring. I find myself wearing my turquoise pieces a lot this time of year and into early fall.

Have you happened to notice my pictures all have yellow in them somewhere other than just my dress? I guess yellow is more popular than I realized. Hahaha!

So how about you? Are you a fan of yellow or do you tend to shy away from it? If you tend to be in the second camp, I’d encourage you to give it a try. You just might be pleasantly surprised and become a convert.
Every month we have a cohost along with our normal group and this month’s is Amy of Amy’s Creative Pursuits. Amy is a fun loving grandmother (can you believe it?) who blogs about lifestyle and fashion. I love how she added a cute yellow bag and yellow earrings to highlight the yellow in her floral top. There may be snow on the ground, but Amy is channeling spring with her sunny details.

Thank you sweet friend! It’s such a cute dress. I loved your yellow look too! XOXO
Hey yellow Sunshine, you’re gonna love this; I am wearing that EXACT same dress on the blog tomorrow. My goodness, you look cute. I wish I’d have thought to pair it with turquoise! I had to return it twice for a size smaller each time but it gives me all the Spring feels for sure!
LOL! I had a feeling based on a comment you’d made last week that we had bought the same dress. It is adorable and I can’t wait to see it on you. I know it will be darling!!!!
In honor of your adorable gingham dress, I had to go back and post my gingham look. Yellow is my favorite and you look amazing in that color!! I think we are all channeling gingham right now! Haha!
Well thank you, Darlene. I can’t wait to check yours out. I love all the gingham that’s floating around!
Oh, that dress is just adorable! I love the style! I really like yellow, but I have to careful about picking the right shade. Thanks so much for the sweet write-up and letting me co-host this month.
Thank you Amy, and thanks for joining!
What a pretty dress. How did I not know gingham comes in yellow? I always see it in blue, red, and pink. So pretty. And those shoes? Fabulous!!!!!
Thank you Daenel! I think the 70’s are making a comeback via gingham.?
Love how you coordinated with your backdrops! That dress is super cute! I don't think I've seen yellow gingham before, but I love it! When I wear yellow I like to pair it with turquoise too. Yellow and turquoise is such a pretty combo!
Yellow and turquoise for the win! When I was taking the pics and saw the yellow can in the background, it got me looking for more yellow. Thankfully it was easy to do. I though I was so clever…LOL. (it’s the little things, right?) Happy weekend! XO
That dress is absolutely my fave, Lisa!!!!
And it's the best that you added in the turquoise, and I'm not just saying that because of my outfit...ha ha!!!
XOXO
