Favorite Fall Colors and Ageless Style

Hey y’all! That greeting has never been more appropriate than it is today. I am with my blogging buddies in Nashville and we are having the best time! I knew I should have brought a “talking stick” because being the bloggers that we are, we of course have ALL.THE.WORDS. ?If you want to follow along on our adventures this week make sure to follow me on Instagram. I’m trying to remember to add to my stories as our adventures progress.

Being the 2nd Tuesday of the month can of course mean only one thing, and that’s that it is time for our Ageless Style link up where the first Tuesday of every month ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.

I can’t tell you how much I love the active fashion community of over 40, 50, & 60’s bloggers. There are so many places to go for inspiration to keep ourselves current and relevant with no excuse for looking outdated and letting our fashion choices give away our age. I mean who among us doesn’t want to {eventually} be a young-looking grandma? All in due time friends.

Okay, okay, now on to our theme. Shelly from The Queen In Between chose our theme this month, and that is favorite fall colors. I gotta’ tell you that I’m a huge fan of fall colors. To me fall colors are warm tones and those are totally in my wheel house. I tend to wear more of the warmer earth tones than pastels and brights, so fall colors are totally my jam. Do people still say that?? On a side note, I am a total fan of emoji’s. Written words don’t have the expression of talking and I am very expressive, so emoji’s are how I  convey that in black and white (and often yellow?).

I needed some fall dresses and Target has been killing it with their online website this fall. I ordered two and both were just under $25, and both were great! I shared the other one here and this one I saved for my trip.

I love the colors in it and the floral print, which to be quite honest I don’t typically wear. I don’t think anyone would ever guess just what a bargain this dress was. The fabric is a great quality and the fit is wonderful. I’m wearing a small and might could have squeezed into an x-small, but I’d rather have room and be comfortable instead of knowing my tag says XS.

The hem is a little longer in the back and at first I wasn’t too sure about that, but I actually like it and it also allows for a little extra coverage when bending over, if you get my drift. I chose my go to block heel sandals, but I also wore it with peep toe booties to church Sunday and loved that look too.

Guess what went perfectly with this? My new knit kimono. Seriously y’all, if you don’t already have a kimono style ‘sweater’, this is the one. I love it and it checks all the boxes. Soft✅ Kimono✅ Blanket✅ Perfect for fall transition✅✅ Yes, 2 checks for that. My only problem is not wearing it all the time. Lucky for you it’s back in stock in all 3 colors and I’m seriously thinking I might need the white and mustard one.

So for my jewelry I add some of my Kendra Scott go to’s. I double wrapped this pendant style necklace, which I often do and sometimes I even add one of my small pendants with it for a more layered look. I absolutely love that this necklace is 2 tone and I can go silver or gold with it.

Don’t forget that during your birthday month, you can go into a Kendra Scott store and get any item for 50% off. Guess what else? You can also take your husband in during his birthday month and he can get 50% off too. What man doesn’t want to go into Kendra Scott for his birthday and buy you something? Being the wonderful wife that I am, we went in last week and I “let” Kent buy me these bracelets for his birthday. LOL
