Friday Favorites #138

TGIF friends! Did you have a good Valentine’s Day? Ours was simple and sweet. I gave Kent a box of (our) favorite Godiva chocolates, and he’d already surprised me with flowers earlier in the week. Tomorrow we have a reservation at Ruth’s Chris. We’re kinda considering it a double whammy. We have a tendency to let our anniversary slide for a while (it was back in October), so we kill two birds (or cows?) with one stone tomorrow.

So being Friday and all that, it’s time to see what made my favorites this week.

Y’all know I love a little humor and I saw this on my aunt’s Facebook page. I couldn’t help but chuckle.

Yep, watch out girls. Menopause is comin’ for ya’.

LEOPARD HEELS

I waited and waited before finally ordering these gorgeous leopard heels. WHY? I kept seeing them all over the blogoshpere and I could have been enjoying them for the last year or two, but not to worry, I’m making up for lost time. They are surprisingly comfortable for a heel. Sam Edelman knows how to make a shoe, ladies. These are the exact same material as my leopard flats. I’m on my second pair of those and there’s a good chance I wear them more than any other shoe I have ever bought, other than these booties.

My flowers from my cupid.

ORNAMENT

After receiving one of these darling ornaments from Shelly for Christmas with a picture from our girls trip on it, I was inspired to start a tradition. Yes, a tradition. I ordered these ornaments and plan to do one every year for us and the kids. I think it will be so fun as our family grows and grand-babies come into the picture (no time soon?) to have a little tree dedicated just to these. I had the one on the left made for Erin and her mom and the one on the right for us, Erin & Benny, and Katie.

HASK HOT OIL TREATMENT

From time to time I like to give my hair a good conditioning. This Hask hot oil treatment does a great job, is super easy to use, not very time consuming and produces good results. I find them at Bed Bath & Beyond for a better price, but if you don’t have one, you can find them here on Amazon.

BIC RAZORS

I needed some new razors so I picked these up. I’ve tried the Schick Intuition and a couple of others that have the built in “bars” for conditioning and lather, but they don’t seem to shave very close. #whatsthepointthen These Bic razors do a smooth job of getting it done. (smooth job, see what I did there?) They also have a plastic cover that slides off on one side and makes them super easy to throw in your toiletries bag for travel without worrying about the possible amputation of the end of a finger when you get where you’re going and reach in your bag without looking.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, I’m guessing you know all about the tiered tray frenzy. I have full on drank the Kool-aid and love them. Decorating them is so fun, and collecting all the things to go on them is equally as fun. I found these cute little wooden beads on where else? Amazon. They do however apparently come on a literal slow boat from China, not Prime. Man am I spoiled. Anyway they are well worth giant price tag of $3+/-. ?I am still planning to do a post on how I decorate my trays and where to find some of the things I love.

If you can’t wait, you can check out these tiered trays. The wood one seems to fluctuate in price and is currently on the low side.?? The 3rd one is on sale, and you can get an extra 15% off with code GEORGE.https://rstyle.me/n/dbbw5pccf9x

Rodan + Fields released an new acne product specifically for teens and young adults this week. It’s an easy 2 step process that is used twice a day, oh let’s say when they brush their teeth.

Eliminate acne, deep clean pores and control appearance of oil and shine with this simple, two-step Regimen. With breakthrough BPO2 Technology, this teen and young adult acne treatment delivers more oxygen and Benzoyl Peroxide to pores, killing acne bacteria from Day 1 of treatment.

But wait, there’s more….???

Our UNBLEMISH regimen has been reformulated specifically for adult skin experiencing breakouts and signs of aging. This four-step Regimen gently and effectively clears acne and prevents future blemishes while it visibly smooths, firms and improves the appearance of pores and fine lines for clearer, healthier, younger-looking skin.

So now you can address adult acne and aging all at the same time. Awesome!

These two products will be available to order on next Thursday, the 21st. If you have any questions or want to get it for yourself or your teen, you can email me at richardson4.lisa@gmail.com and I’ll get you all set up!

If you missed the other posts this week you can catch up here. I was all about a try-on and shared one from H&M and LOFT.

Before you go, I’d love for you to follow me on Instagram and other social media platforms, but I’m really working to try and grow my Instagram following. It’s hard y’all! If you’re already following along, then THANK YOU!

    • I know…I want to wear them for that too, but it’s in a shopping area and well, you know, I may have to shop. LOL Definitely not shopping shoes. HA! Have a great weekend! XO

  • Yep, Girlie!! I have drank the tiered tray Kool-Aid, too! I'm hoping to start decorating mine this weekend (after I get out spare bedroom cleaned up!). I agree that Sam Edelman shoes are the best! I just love them! And I love your idea for the family ornaments! Such a fantastic way to share and keep those sweet memories alive! I hope you and Kent have a great weekend!

    • I swear I’m just about to click add to cart for the one at Birch Lane and use it on my vanity. Have a great weekend! Can’t wait to see your tray all gussied up! XO

  • Oh I'm glad you are loving your new leopard pumps! They are perfection! Totally agree with you on Sam Edelman shoes. Every time I get a pair I wonder why I don't own more of them??

  • Those shoes are amazing!!! I feel like leopard just goes with everything. I worn my leopard booties yesterday and feel the same way. I kept talking myself out of them and I'm glad I finally gave in.

  • I'm glad you're enjoying your leopard pumps. That's such a nice print--I have leopard ones, but they are more subdued. One of these days I will drink the tiered-tray Kool-Aid with you!

    • Thank Kim! Once you start, you won’t be able to stop with the tiered trays. LOL Happy weekend! XO

  • I love my leopard shoes! All 3 pairs! I used to wear my leopard pumps all the time to work. I'm sure when I start working again or don't have to run after my active 1 year old I'll be wearing them again!

  • Please remind me about the ornaments when the holidays roll around. I definitely want to start doing that instead of buying a frame ornament every year! Beautiful flowers. Hope you have a relaxing weekend!

  • I love those leopard pumps! (They are next on my list of shoes to buy once my other leopard pumps wear out.) Sam Edelman pumps are great. That H&M plaid shirt is one of my favorites. I like the dress you are wearing next to the plaid shirt pic.

    • Thanks so much. I just got leopard pumps...I love the snakeskin version too. Just found this comment in my "needs moderation" spot. Sorry for the late reply! XO
