Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth and a Giveaway

Did you ever see the movie Annie? #classic Well then you probably remember the song “You’re never fully dressed without a smile”. If you need a good reason to “smile” today, this oughta do it.

I mean seriously, is that little dimple faced girl not the cutest? And who doesn’t love Carol Burnett? What a hoot! I shared in a post a few months ago how my smile was what my husband was first attracted to, and how I consider it an asset.

I was very lucky and didn’t have to have braces as a kid. I did get Invisalign for a short stent a few years ago to undo a little shifting I’d had on my bottom teeth. After I finished with them I decided I’d like to do some whitening. I think our teeth tend to yellow a little with age, and of course depending on if you’re a coffee or wine drinker, that can be accelerated. I love my coffee and tea and so I felt like my teeth weren’t quite as bright and white as I’d like. I got a whitening kit from my dentist, used it once or twice and decided the sensitivity it caused didn’t outweigh the benefits.

Well a few weeks ago I got lucky and Smile Brilliant contacted me and asked would I be willing to try their whitening system. Um, yes! I was particularly interested since they have a system for sensitive teeth. #signmeup

This is a big day here at Coast to Coast. Not only did I get to try the system, they are also allowing me to do a giveaway for one lucky reader to win a whitening kit and all other entrants will receive a 15% discount code. So welcome to my very first GIVEAWAY!!!!

Note: This product was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Here’s what comes with your kit.

It’s super easy to get started. You just mix the catalyst and the base and put it in the trays, then insert into your mouth and hold for 3 minutes. Take them out, allow to harden and then drop in the envelope provided to go back to the lab for your custom made trays. It was super easy and a very quick turn around.

Once I got my trays back in the mail, I was all set to start.

The directions recommend starting out with about 45 minutes of whitening and working up to 3 hours. I followed the guidelines and I’m so happy to report I had no sensitivity whatsoever. I can’t begin to tell you how relieved I was after my previous experience with an at home whitening system.

You can see in the picture above how you apply a thin line of the whitening gel on your trays (and then use the same method for the desensitizing gel)

I worked my way up to 2 hours and never had a problem. I chose to do my sessions during the day since I don’t work outside of the home. It was really easy for me to pop the trays in while working out and showering (just keep your mouth closed?) and then get on with my day.

Are you ready for the big reveal? Here are my before and afters. Thankfully my teeth were already pretty white, but I can see that they are brighter and whiter after using the Smile Brilliant system.

These photos have not been edited and there are no filters. They were both taken in natural daylight. I can definitely see a difference. This was after 4 uses of the whitening system, and a friend actually commented last week on how white my teeth were. Love that!

Have you tried using any teeth whitening products? What was your experience?

I hope you’ll head over to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a FREE whitening kit for yourself. Can’t wait? You can also get 15% off with this coupon code: coasttocoast215.

This giveaway is open to USA, UK, Australia and Canadian residents.
GOOD LUCK FRIENDS!!!!

  • Oh wow! What a difference! I have sensitive teeth too and I have had trouble finding whitening products that I can use. This sounds great!

  • So fun!! I had metal braces in 5th grade and then I didn't wear my retainer (oh, do I wear it faithfully now). Then I got Invisalign and whew that was over 2 years... but, man it was worth it. I did whitening and I use my Invisalign retainers to do whitening once a month. I buy the bleach at my dentist office. One trick they told me to do for the sensitivity is to use a sensitive toothpaste for a week before I do the bleaching and it truly helps SO, so much. I really think bleaching with these kinda trays is the TRUE way to go.

    • I tried the sensitive toothpaste with the other, and it maybe helped a little. Thankfully this worked much better and gentler.
