Must Have Spring and Summer Accessories

Welcome to May’s edition of Ageless Style. The first Tuesday of every month ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond. This month I was charged with picking our theme and after tossing around a few ideas, I landed on must have spring and summer accessories. Accessories can make or break an outfit, but I’m guessing that’s nothing you don’t already know.

I’ve been traveling the last week and a half and before I left home, I packed up my favorite spring and summer accessories to bring along. These are my go to pieces. The ones I find myself wearing over and over. Do you have those?

These 3 necklaces, I wear year after year. The stone ones I also have a black stone one, which is equally loved but just didn’t make the trip. The wood tassel livens up any outfit and is so lightweight. (it’s also fun to play with the tassel…LOL)

I make no secret about my obsession with Nickel & Suede earrings. Seriously, if you haven’t tried these yet, DO IT. The blush pair is the earring of the month and on sale for $18. These earrings are so light you don’t even know you’re wearing them, unless you’re in the wind?. I’ve learned not to wear them when we go into San Francisco because they whip around like a flag. I wear the medium and think they are the perfect size.

I’m laughing as I type this because I didn’t even realize all of these are Kendra Scott except for the acrylic earrings. The hot pink pendant was my very first Kendra Scott piece and started my collection. I’ve slowly added to it for the past few years, particularly during October. You can purchase any piece for 50% off during your birthday month. Who doesn’t love 50% off? The tassel pendant was one of those pieces that I wasn’t sure how much wear it would get, and it turns out it goes with so many of my blouses. I love it and I love it when that happens.

These bracelets were another birthday month gift to myself. I always know just what to get myself. HAHAHA! They can be worn together, separately and stacked with others. For me they’re great because they are adjustable and I have a hard time finding bracelets small enough. #freakishlysmallwrists The tassel earrings were completely out of my wheel house, but I kept seeing them and loving them and finally had to have them. These babies get complimented every time they leave the house. They are also surprisingly lightweight and look especially cute with plaid and gingham.

Talking about accessories is like pulling at a thread. Where do I stop? I could talk about this cute little purse or this bag that are perfect for spring and summer. I also have to talk about the resin & rattan rage. Both of these are really on trend, and I’m seeing them everywhere. The resin pair I have are super light and I’ve heard the rattan earrings are too. Amazon has an amazing selection of sets of statement earrings that are super affordable and, I’ve rounded a bunch up for you.
