Hi friends! Welcome to August’s What’s Up Wednesday. You may be feeling a little fall in the air. I know when we lived in Minnesota, after Labor Day it was like someone flipped a switch and it was full on fall. For us now though, fall is delayed. Our seasons seem to be shifted slightly from other parts of the country. #andimnotmadaboutit
I’m linking up with these girls for August’s What’s Up Wednesday. This is two months in a row…I’m on a streak.
WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK…
Monday night we had the most delicious She Crab Soup. Even though it has some flour in it, it still fit within my macros for low carb day.
Last night we had pork tenderloin. I think I’ve shared with you before how I buy them at Costco. They come in a 2 pack and each pack has 2 in it, for a total of 4. I use 2 packs of my favorite marinade and place each tenderloin in a quart size Ziploc bag. Then I add some of the marinade in each bag and freeze. That way when I want to cook one, I just get it out in the morning, thaw and it’s ready to grill.
WHAT I’M LOVING…
The sense of accomplishment I have from helping Katie with her new apartment. (read post here) We still have some things to do like a headboard and curtains and some touches in the living area. That part is pretty dull and still needs some homey touches. I’m thinking a faux tree and some wall decor.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON…
Gearing up for bible study to start back up next week. I’ve taken on a new role, so I’m trying to get all the ins and outs figured out.

WHAT I’M WATCHING…
Talk about binge watching. I’d been thinking about watching Dallas for a while, and I started about a month ago. I am watching even as I type this. Can’t stop, won’t stop. LOL #whoshotjr
WHAT I’M WEARING…
Y’all! THESE PANTS!!! Not only are they cute as the day is long, they equally as comfortable. Loft Outlet is having a buy more, save more sale, so now’s the perfect time to stock up.
And THIS TOP! Another score I got at the same time as the pants. It’s from the Loft Lounge line which is basically like Lou & Grey. This little shell is so soft, cool and breezy.
I got two of these tops last year and they are still some of my favorites. Lucky for everyone, Loft Outlet has the same style in two new prints this year. My KUT jeans I got during the Nordstrom sale are on repeat and then repeat again. If soft, stretchy denim is your thing, then these are the jeans for you!
I got this Gibson top last year at the end of the season from Nordstrom Rack for $10. Yes, you read that right. You know I love all things halter, and then there’s the beautiful print. This year there is a top with a similar feel available and they go perfectly with my white jeans. How cute is the eyelet detail on the bottoms?
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND…
Kent is off Friday and Monday so we have a long weekend…with no plans. Who knows what we’ll get into.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…
Kent’s birthday is in September and that starts the “birthday season” in our house. Let the celebrating begin.

Oh, girl, I may have to get the wide leg cropped pants. It's been so easy to find olive colored clothing this season--I need to stock up! I've been not-so-patiently waiting for the Style Six link up.
