Are you so happy the Nordstrom sale is finally ending? I know, I know. It’s all we’ve been hearing about for over a month. Let it go…but not before you see what I got. LOL I said I’d share what I ended up purchasing, and so far I’ve only told you about a few things, so today is Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Friday Favorites.
But, before I get to those, my real favorite today is this man. Today is my daddy’s birthday. So a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, DAD!!!! I love you!
Now on to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Friday Favorites.
The #1 thing I wanted was this sweater. I knew from past years it ran big. I was on the website at the strike of 9:30, and dang it all if my size wasn’t already gone. (dern early shoppers) I ordered the small in it, and the one below, and I’ll exchange them when they restock. Y’all, these are just the softest, coziest sweaters. I love the cut and shape of them and the length is perfect for me.
These are the KUT from the Kloth jeans with a frayed hem. It’s like they were hemmed and then actually cut in the crease of the hem…if that makes any sense at all. I find KUT jeans to be soft, stretchy and comfortable.
Y’all already know I love the snakeskin trend. (see these shoes) I along with everyone else wanted a pair of snakeskin booties too. These are Jeffrey Campbell and they are the same design as a pair of Vince Camuto booties I bought last year and loved. These have a nice squishy insole and the heel is 3.25 inches which is about as high as I can go and not want to cut my feet off after a few hours. They run small, so size up a half size. Honestly, I’ve got to wear them around a little more before I decide for sure if I’m keeping them. The right one fits perfectly, but the left is a little snug when I put on a very thin sock.
V-necks are my favorite neckline. They are so much more flattering on me than a crewneck. This sweater is dare I say it, so soft. Do you get that I am a big fan of the soft things? It has slits on the side hem and hangs beautifully.
These are the Spanx jeans. I had to give them a go. They have a released hem (see below), no pockets and no button on the front. They’re pull on, so they make for a great silhouette with tunic sweaters. No button poking out.
I’ve been wearing my Lucky booties from 2 or 3 years ago and decided it was time to replace them. These are Vince Camuto, pointy toe and the heel is 2 1/4 inches. High enough to be a heel, but low enough to be comfortable for walking.
Caslon has a version of this sweater every year in the sale…or at least every year I’ve shopped it. I have two of them and love them to pieces. I wear them a ton. I ordered this raspberry color before I ordered the other hot pink one. I’m keeping the hot pink, so this one will go back. I did order the black and white striped version for Katie though.
The leopard mules aren’t from the sale, but aren’t they cute? I stumbled on them at TJMaxx. I’m so excited you can now shop TJM online and these are available in some sizes.
FREE PEOPLE TUNIC || JEANS || SPANX LEGGINGS || BOOTIES
I love, love, love Free People. I love their tunics. This one has my favorite feature, smocking. It’s long enough for leggings but just as cute with jeans.
If you’ve ever been tempted to buy Spanx Faux Leather leggings, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the time to do it. These rarely go sale. I purchased mine last year and really like them. They are little edgier than my regular black leggings and can easily be dressed up or down.
SWEATER || JEANS || SANDALS || TEE
I shared these on Wednesday. Zella workout wear has become my workout wear of choice. I ordered these leggings in 2 patterns and solid black. I had to get one pair in an xtra large with the intention of exchanging.
I vacillated back and forth on ordering this sweater. I kept seeing it on other bloggers and just really liked it, so rather than deal with FOMO, I went for it. Again, I grabbed it in a small and as soon as it restocks, I’ll exchange it for an XS. I have a feeling this may take the place of Barefoot Dreams cardis frequently. It meets all the criteria for me, especially the #soft word.
I bought one of these last year and about wore it out. Seriously, I wore it all the time, then Katie wore it at Thanksgiving and I had to get her one for Christmas. These things are like wearing the softest stuffed animal you’ve ever felt and crazy warm.
Curiosity killed the cat. I was dying to try a moto jacket, so I ordered this one. It’s a great deal and you’d never guess it’s pleather…it feels really good. However, I felt ridiculous in it and took it back, not to mention the sleeves were too long.
Last year during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale I ordered a version of these and returned them and then regretted it all winter. Well not this time. They also come in black leather and a red crocodile looking leather as well. There’s a real attention to detail if you look at the heel. There’s the little SE emblem and a pretty painted stripe up the inside of the heel. Again, the heel height on these is right in my zone. 3 inches. #praisehands
These blankets are probably one of the rock star items of the sale. They are crazy soft and cozy, and they come in a huge variety of colors. Almost every blogger talks about them. Last year I bought one for us and gave the newlyweds one for Christmas. I ordered one to give Katie for her birthday to use in her new apartment.
These candles are not only my favorite, but most anyone who ever smells them. I usually buy mine at Anthropologie, but anytime I find them on sale I get at least one. I ordered four of these for gifts. Sadly they sent me the wrong ones and on top of that one was completely smashed in delivery. I’m holding on to them until…you guessed it, restocks. Then I’ll be exchanging them.
You can shop all of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Friday Favorites in the carousel below. As I’ve said before, if you want an item and it’s not available in your size, grab a different size or color, and then exchange it when the restock (next week…most likely). And you know my motto. You have to spend money to save money. I’m still trying to convince Kent of this. HAHAHA!

Aw, thanks! I think I would have felt goofy in it. You are too kind to me!!
XO
Love the snakeskin booties and I may just have to snag one of those blankets- they are so luxurious!
You definitely should, Holly!!! Your kids will probably fight over it, so just get two.?
XOXO
Why didn't you like the moto jacket?? I thought it was great on you Lisa!!
You really ordered a ton...and got some great pieces!!
XOXO

PS...happy birthday to dad!!
I just didn't feel like it was me and it didn't really fit right. I did order a fair amount, but I'll also be returning a lot. I've learned to over order to keep from having regrets. ?
XOXO
Great picks, Lisa. It looks like you've hit the "cozy tops" bonanza! You're the 2nd person I've seen in the Free People tunic. I always like to see FP IRL as there is so much fabric usually. I'm glad you got the boots you missed out on last year.
I sure did!!! My middle name should be "cozy". HA! Happy weekend!!
XO
I love the first sweater. Why would you keep the snakeskin booties if you already have the same exact style from last year and those were great (while these seem to have a fit problem)?
Hi Melanie! The ones I purchased last year are a mushroom suede color, not snakeskin.?Happy weekend!!! XO
Love all these looks! I got the first sweater in a small and am swimming in it. I think I will have to return or exchange.
Peace!
Cheryl
Thanks Cheryl!!! I know, right? Mine's a small and I'll need an XS if not smaller. That sweater runs huge...but it's so comfy? Have a great weekend!!!!
XOXO
Happy birthday to your dad! There are so many August birthdays, mine is on the 10th!! That Free People tunic is so cute the ways you styled it! I don't think I have anything from that brand yet! Those snakeskin booties work so well as a neutral!

Thanks Carrie! Once you start buying Free People, you won't be able to stop. LOL

Oh my I am SO GLAD I wasn't the only one who ordered candles and then one was smashed and the WRONG scent! Soooooo annoying and since we don't have a Nordstrom close by ....such a pain to deal with.
No way! I can't believe the same thing happened to you too. Yes, such a huge pain!
I absolutely love your hair color. Do you highlights/lowlights/some natural? I would love for you to do a post about your hair. Have a great weekend.
Hi Peggy!!! Thanks so much (and I'm sorry about the late response) I do have highlights, but no lowlights. I'll try to do a post on my hair...but of course I just cut 3 inches off. LOL
XOXO
Lots of nice picks, Lisa! I also got the colorblock sweater. So cute! Thanks for sharing!
Xx Darlene
Thanks Darlene!
