Today is the first Tuesday of the month and that means Snakeskin with Ageless Style. First off, if you’re new around here, WELCOME. Second, if you don’t know what Ageless Style is, let me fill you in. The first Tuesday of every month, ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.
Wherever wind visits, there it freshens the air; wherever wisdom visits, there it freshens the mind! – Mehmet Murat ildan
Who would have ever thought 10 years ago we’d be mixing prints, and that animal prints would be considered a neutral. Fast forward and here we are. Wearing our plaids with snakeskin, stripes with leopard and so on. I am loving the freedom to throw caution to the wind, and spice up my outfits with these beautiful accessories.
I added my snakeskin loafers to this outfit and loved it. The print with the plaid make for a fun and unexpected combination.
There is just so much I love about this outfit, so let’s get to it. First off, these pull on cargo pants are awesome. They feel more like pajama bottoms, and anytime I can get dressed with that comfort level, well…I’m all about it!
This plaid popover is one of my latest purchases and the first time I wore it, it was compliments galore. What’s not to love about that? It can be worn tucked in, front tuck, or out and looks equally cute. This is a classic style top from Madewell that they introduce in different prints and solids seasonally. You can wear so many different sweaters with this top. I’ve worn this neutral, and olive green and my Madewell striped. They all look adorable.
Now let’s discuss the star of the show or at least a co-star. I bought these last spring and was pretty darn proud of myself for coming in on the front end of the snakeskin trend. #thatdoesntusuallyhappen #idontlikechange
These are a super soft leather, and come in a pretty wide selection as far as solids and prints. See for yourself.
AND that’s not even all of them.
I’ve been seriously flirting with the idea of ordering these. I slipped them on one day when I was in Macy’s and thought they were super cute.
I did a post back in the spring about all the snakeskin as a neutral, if you want to you can check it out here.
Now that we’re really into fall (except for my poor Florida girls), snakeskin booties are likely the shoe of choice. Here are some great options for those.

I didn't even notice you had a print mix going on until you pointed it out! I guess snakeskin really IS neutral! Love that plaid too - I don't have anything like that with the smaller print..hmm..tempting! :)
Lisa, I love the popover top! I rarely see a plaid I don't like. ;-) And I'm all about the pointed toe flats. Have a great week friend.
