Classic White and Denim

Hey y’all! How’s this week going for you. It can’t go by fast enough for me. Saturday we leave for vacation. ?? I can’t wait to spend a week in the sun with my peeps. Today is Wednesday, and you know that can only mean one thing. Our Style Six linkup is today. What is more classic than white and denim? Probably nothing. If I’m being totally honest, it’s not a combo I wear all that often, but every time I do, or I see on someone else, I’m reminded of how much I love it.

You’re probably thinking, “again with the smocking”? Y’all know I love it, and I just can help myself. This linen smocked neck top is super cute, and comes in several colors. Warning: If you are a big headed girl, #likeme this might be a little hard to get on. The neck is a little tight, but I was able to stretch it and pull it on.

It lends itself to being worn tucked, untucked, or half tucked…so basically, you can do a lot with it. It’s a soft line/cotton, and pretty much the perfect summer weight. I’m wearing a nude bra, and that’s what I’d definitely recommend. I had on an ivory color, and had to switch, but then all was well.

Can I tell y’all that the last two trips I’ve taken, these have been the jeans I’ve flown in. They are super comfortable, and when I fly that’s requirement #1. Requirement #2 is I like to look cute. I was actually talking about that on Instagram last week. Are you a super casual flyer? ie, leggings and sweatshirts, or do you prefer to wear something a little more stylish? I tend to be the second, but I have been know to fly in my leggings. Especially my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (petite) in winter. Now those are the best of both worlds. Also currently included in the Nordstrom sale. You won’t find them this cheap again until next year.

If you’re feeling uninspired about what to wear, classic white and denim are always a good fall back.

On a side note: If you look in the background of this picture, over my shoulder, you can see my tomato plants. We’re getting a lot of little cherry tomatoes. The variety I like are called 100’s. They are about the size of a marble and perfect for salads. Kent likes to eat them like you would grapes or candy.

I also saw that my sandals are being priced matched right now. They are super cute and very comfortable. They’re like jewelry for your feet.

My pick from last weeks link up is Shauna from Lipgloss and Lace. Look at this beautiful and fun dress. It’s so sad, we’ve missed a whole season of fun party dresses. #ohcovid #goaway
