Hey y’all! Well I did it! I pulled off the surprise for Kent’s birthday. You’re probably going, “what is she talking about?”. Well here’s the story. Kent had a B I G birthday yesterday. I decided back at the beginning of August I’d fly the kids home for the weekend to surprise him, and I DID IT. This may seem like no bid deal to you, but this girl has NO POKER FACE…zip, zero, zilch, nada. Last week was borderline painful because I was about to bust! Benny and Erin got in Friday around lunch, and then Katie couldn’t come until that night. I managed to still surprise him with all the arrivals…amazingly.
So todays post I’m straying from my usual fashion posts, and I’m sharing some pictures from the weekend…mostly from Saturday when we went hiking in Muir Woods. If you’ve never been, it’s a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. We got so lucky that the air quality was decent and the weather was perfect. I also took some time lapse videos of the bridges and curvy road that are fun to watch. If you aren’t into pictures, come back Wednesday…LOL

What a fabulous birthday surprise and a beautiful area to hike. My mom and I did something similar with my sister the year she moved away. We flew out for her birthday and had only told her husband so it was a total surprise to her until we literally pulled into her driveway; then we were all crying and laughing and hugging. It was great. I'm sure he loved that!
