The First October Friday Favs

Hi friends! How’s your week been? Ours has not been without its challenges. If you follow on IG, then you know I’ve had all kinds of travel debacle issues, and of course a new fire broke out in Napa (about 60 miles away), and the smoke has returned. Womp-womp! But that’s not going to get me down! Chin up and away we go. Let’s see what the first October Friday Favs has in store. Spoiler alert…They’re gooood.

I think these are hilarious, and would be so fun for the family on Thanksgiving. How about a funny picture with everyone holding the dish that corresponds to their tee?

I have been contemplating these hair towels for-evvver, and just thought, meh, they probably don’t work. Well I’ll be the first to admit when I’m wrong. This thing works like a champ. Wrapped my wet hair in it and left it on while I was putting on my face. I couldn’t believe how much of the water it took out. Love with a capital L.

This picture also brings me to the next favorite. My robe. I received a message on IG asking about it, and so I scrounged around to see if I could find it. The same one is available on Amazon, but there are also quite a few on TJMaxx. That’s where I got mine. This is a brand carried in large department stores with a much heftier price tag.

PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

Remember I shared the Atkins Peanut Butter cups recently? Well this week I tried these, they are new and Oh Mylanta, they are GOOOOOD!!! They rival Reeses’s. Don’t get me wrong, I still think the Atkins are yummy, but I think these nudged ahead.

KITSCH MICROFIBER HEADBAND || PUMPKIN & SPICE EXFOLIATOR

These two just seem to go hand in hand. I received this new microfiber headband from Kitsch and I’ve been wearing it in the shower, when I take off my makeup, or while I’m putting on my makeup. It even has a hole in the back for your ponytail if you have one.

(Sorry this is a repeat…but it’s worth it.) Another company sent me this Pumpkin & Spice Exfoliator to try. Okay y’all, it literally smells like pumpkin bread. Every time I’m in the shower and use, I feel the urge to bake some pumpkin bread. HA! It’s a super creamy consistency with little exfoliating beads, and very gentle on the skin. So if you need an exfoliator that is easy on your skin, this might be the one. You can purchase it here, and use my code LISAR15 for 15% off.

NATURE WELL VITAMIN C CREAM
code LISA20 for 20% 0ff

I think this one has made an appearance before, but yesterday when I was using it, I decided I need to tell you about it again. I really love this moisture cream. It smells great, and is nice and creamy. Just what you’d expect from a cream. LOL I have the collagen version too, and it also smells really good, and it’s nice and creamy as well. They are available several places. I think Amazon has the best price and a coupon right now if you want to try it.

KITSCH FACE MASK

More Kitsch goodness. I have seen these masks and been wanting to try them. Kitsch was kind enough to send me this mask, the head-wrap and the hair towel. Let’s just say I am a big fan of all of them. The masks are nice and soft. I do think they need to be washed before worn because they have a new fabric smell.

Have you had a mammogram recently? I had mine yesterday, and it just happened to be on the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I’m actually really glad it now falls in October. The place I go here really knows what they are doing. You’re in and out. Easy peasy, and my results were already sent to me yesterday afternoon. ✔️ that off for another year. Let me encourage to take care of yourself, and be proactive about your health. XO

I’m so conflicted. Y’all know I make no bones about being a summer time girl, but I have to admit I’m so excited to wear this poncho. I love it with jeans and leggings. Which is your favorite?

As always, I’m linking up for Friday Favorites. This is such a fun way to find all kinds of new blogs and favorites.

  • you know me....Ms weight watcher here so I pointed the PB cups. 2 is 7 points. Not bad. Have you tried Built Bars? They are 3 points for me and are like a 3 musketeers consistency with alot of yummy flavors. Peanut butter is 4 points but my fave. but I will have to try the quest ones for a movie date sometime. Oh whenever we get back to movies. UGH. My daughter, Taylor, loves the kitsch masks! She said they are the best so I told her to get me a set of 3 and add to my stocking from her dad! LOL she helps him out cuz lord knows the man is NOT a good gift giver. OH he is generous but he doesn't have any idea what to ever buy me. I send him ideas and he just buys it all. LOL I guess it could be worse. Ok off to Pismo. Have a great weekend!

    • We've been eating Built bars for awhile and love them. Coconut is our favorite flavor!!
