Amazon Purchases in January

Hey y’all! How was your weekend? Our was good….except our furnace is broken and it’s been a little chilly. Hopefully it will get fixed this week. We are lucky it’s pretty mild here, so we could use the gas fireplace for a little heat when we were sitting around. Since it’s the last Monday of the month, I thought I’d go ahead and do a round up of my Amazon purchases in January. I actually just realized after doing the rest of this, that I am a week early for Tanya’s Prime linkup that’s the first Tuesday of the month. HA! I’ll link this up next week. That’s what I get for thinking I’m prepared.

1 – GENIE’S DREAM MERINGUE POWDER – I took an online cookie decorating class last spring, and the girl recommended this as the best meringue powder for royal icing, so I ordered it to use on our Christmas cookies.

2 – CLEAR VANILLA – This was another thing that was recommended. If you use regular vanilla, it can slightly tint your icing, and you don’t want dingy looking white icing.

3 – SCRIBE FOR COOKIE DECORATING – These are used for smoothing the icing and getting bubbles out when decorating cookies.

4 – FILTER FOR SHOWER HEAD – I purchased this shower head a while back to remove chemicals and chlorine in the shower. I could tell it was time to replace the filter because my hair is feeling dry again.

5 – SWEATER – This one is popular and I haven’t even photographed it to share yet, but it’s a cute sweater that’s available in quite a few colors.

6 – AIRPOD CASE COVER – I want to protect my Airpods case from dirt and possibly breaking. I feel like it’s a slippery little sucker, and easy to drop. This way I can also attach it to the inside of my purse or bag and not worry about losing them.

7 – DEVOTIONAL BOOK – I need a new resource now that I’m not doing my group bible study anymore. I’ve been kind of lame about my quiet time, and I saw a friend using this one on Instagram so I ordered it. It just arrived, and I’m excited to get started.

8 – CAPTURE GENIE – This little device is genius. You pair you cell phone to it, and then when you are making videos or using the camera it will follow you. Seriously! How cool is that?

9 – RESISTANCE BANDS/HOME WORKOUT – This was a Christmas gift for Kent. It’s kind of a small home gym. You can attach it to a door and use the different bands to achieve different amounts of weight and do different exercises. I keep thinking I’ll pull it out and use it.

10 – MY PASSPORT – I needed to start backing up my computer. My son has this little device and uses it and recommended it, so I ordered one for myself. It’s super easy to use, and I plug it in every Monday to back it up.

11 – AZTEC CLAY MASK – Katie and I have both used this mask, and it was one of the gift ideas I had back in December. I did a giveaway with some other Instagrammers, and the winner got to pick one of my items. This is what she chose. Good choice.

12 – SWIFTWICK SOCKS – These were on Benny’s Christmas wishlist, so of course I had to get them. He wears Swiftwick softs for running and daily wear. These are cool because they come in different national parks. I got the Yosemite pair, and plan to make it a tradition of giving him a different park from time to time.

13 – PEPPER SPRAY – Y’all know everyone in my family runs…except me (thanks to my knees) I like Katie to carry pepper spray with her when she runs, so I ordered this while she was here for her to have. She’s notorious for getting to the airport and having to throw them away because she forgets to put them in her suitcase and check them.

14 – NO SHOW SOCKS – These are the best no-show socks IMHO. They stay on better than any other I’ve tried. Katie actually ordered this variety pack for herself. I think I might need this variety too. Mine are all black.
