Hey friends! Well here we are and it’s the last Wednesday of January. What? So crazy! I haven’t done a What’s Up Wednesday post in a while so today it’s Style Six with a side of What’s Up Wednesday. Today is a special day in the Richardson family. It’s Erin’s birthday. God knew what he was doing when he put her and Benny together. This girl right here fits our family like a puzzle piece we didn’t even know we were missing. She’s a joy and we love her.
For the Style Six portion of this post, let’s do a little recap of…
I just got this adorable polka dot sweater from Chico’s and couldn’t wait to wear it. I’ve told y’all before that their sweaters are super soft. I’m typically a zero at Chico’s. If you aren’t familiar with their sizing, they have 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 & 4. I have this same sweater in solid black in a zero, but I wanted it to be a little roomier for leggings and jeans, so I sized up to a 1. If you are looking for a self esteem boost, Chico’s is also good for that. LOL I have never been a zero before. HA!
This hot pink sweater was a major score when Target had a huge sweater sale last month. I’ve seen it on a lot of people, and once you wear it, it’s easy to see why. It’s super comfy and equally as cute. It comes in several colors, so if bright pink isn’t your color, you have options.
I’ve said it numerous times, but I had no idea I’d love this pullover so much. It’s such a great piece to have for casual wear or cool weather workouts. I find myself reaching for it over and over. The tee underneath is the perfect layering tee and long enough for leggings. I also have it in black.
If you follow on IG, most of this will comes as no big surprise. I share what we’re having for dinner from time to time, and have remembered several times to do just that.
Last night we had one of the easiest and tastiest dinners. We both love it, and it’s so crazy easy to get on the table in no time. I use the mushroom risotto from Trader Joe’s and also the frozen mushroom medley. I cook the salmon in a skillet sprayed with non-stick spray. I season the salmon with S/P, dill and the Everything Seasoning from TJ’s, then add a thin pat of butter on near the end. Honestly, so easy and delicious.
Monday night we had something we haven’t had in a loooong time. Ribs. They were delish. Kent wondered how many he’d have to eat to get the “meat sweats”. LOL This recipe is not your typical rib recipe. You boil them first. Yes, you read that right. You boil them, and that makes them tender, then put them on the grill to finish. I have another recipe that makes them even more tender that you make in the crock-pot and then finish on the grill. I’ll have to share that one too.
Rib Boil
2 onions quartered
5-6 cloves
Bay Leaf
Celery Tops (or just use the entire stalks)
2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp pepper
Water to cover
Bring to a boil and simmer for 45 minutes
Finish on grill with BBQ sauce of your choice
Qauntico! I’ve been totally binging on this for the last couple weeks. There are only 3 seasons, and I’m on the last one. It’s intense. If you like crime type shows, you’ll probably like it.
Next month I’m headed to…you guessed it. Nashville. Of course I can’t wait to go back and see my kiddos and friends.
At the moment I can’t think of anything, so that’s a blessing.
And that’s a wrap for this edition of Style Six with a side of What’s Up Wednesday. I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer, and of course our Style Six link up is below.

That recipe looks yummy. Hubby made ribs last week and while everyone really liked them, I thought they were just ok. I am on a little healthy kick so that salmon dinner is calling my name!
