Hey y’all! Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing some of my nutritional supplements. It started out as my top five, and then I realized there were more, so it turned into my top seven favorite nutritional supplements for women.
There are several supplements that I have been taking for quite a while and feel they are helpful. While I don’t know that I can visibly see a difference with them all, I continue to take them based on research and feeling like I’m doing something good for myself.
MAGNESIUM:
This one is one of my favorites. Magnesium has so many benefits, but my favorite to be perfectly frank is the way it helps keep things going…if you know what I mean, and I think you do. 😉 I can tell a huge difference since adding this into my daily routine.
Magnesium is known for having these benefits:
-Fighting depression
-Benefits agains Type 2 Diabetes
-Can lower blood pressure
-Anti-inflammatory benefits
-Can help prevent migraines
I’ve been taking some form of glucosamine for my joints for years. I’m not even kidding when I tell you my knees sound like an old Barbi dolls grinding when I go up the stairs. Knee issues run in my family, so I’m doing all I can to try and keep mine healthy. This is the brand recommended by my best friends orthopedic surgeon.
I’ve already shared Nutrafol here but I’m going to tell you about it again, because it fits perfectly in this post. I have always had soooo much hair. Every hairdresser who has ever put her hands in it has commented on it. Well I never in a million years thought I’d see it thinning anywhere, but I was wrong. My moms hair was the same and she has experienced thinning as well. I guess it’s just part of the aging process. However, that doesn’t mean I have to take it lying down. I took Nutrafol last summer for 3 months and started seeing some growth above my temples. I quit because I didn’t want to pay for it. Well, I started back taking it at the beginning of February because I don’t want my hair line to continue to recede. I should start seeing some new growth pretty soon. I’ll keep you posted.
I added collagen in a few years ago. I use one scoop in the afternoon in my coffee. I don’t use it in the morning because I don’t want the added calories before noon to avoid breaking my “fast” (If you don’t know, I’m an intermittent faster…and have been forever…before it was “cool” HA!) The best place to purchase the Vital Proteins brand is at Costco.
The benefits from collagen include…
-Improving skin health
-Relieve joint pain
-Could prevent bone loss
-Could boost muscle mass
-Promote heart health
-Hair & Nails
This one is new. Katie has been taking a probiotic for years, and so I finally decided to give it a go. I take a chewable from NutriSuits. They taste like a Bottle Cap candy or Razzle. Do you remember those? Anyway, it’s kinda of a treat and a supplement all in one. LOL I have a code you can use if you’d like to try them. Probiotics are great for regulating your gut health. Use my code COAST20 for 20% off.
I have always taken a multivitamin. I like to take a gummy vitamin because again, it’s like a treat. Hey, when you get to be in this phase of life and you’re cutting all the things out of your diet, you’ve got get those treats where you can. Am I right? A multivitamin covers all your bases.
This is another one I’d say I’ve been using for a good year. I added CBD oil into my routine when a CBD company approached me about trying it. I figured I had nothing to lose. Well what do you know, after taking it for a while I realized my back no longer hurt in the morning when I got up. That was enough for me to know I’d continue taking it. CBD had a lot of benefits just like most supplants, but the ones that are most appealing are joints, sleep, and anxiety. I’m currently using CBD from BearX. You can use my code LISA20 for 20% off your order.
I’m currently using a 30 day trial from Persona Nutrition for all of my supplements. This is a really cool service. I’ve seen other people using it, and been curious, so when I was given the opportunity it try it, I was excited. You go online and fill out a questionnaire. They have nutritionists who then formulate the supplements you should be taking. They come packaged in morning and/or night packets. I am taking both AM and PM. So not only does it take the guess work out of what you should take, they are individually packaged, making it easy to throw in your purse or take just the amount you’ll need when traveling. I just tore off the packets I needed for a few days and threw them in my toiletry bag. Easy Peasy. They have a special offer right now and you can get $50 off your first order. If you aren’t sure what you might be missing in your diet, this is a great way to get an idea of what supplements you should be taking, and see how you feel.
Alrighty, that’s a wrap for my top seven favorite nutritional supplements for women. What supplements do you take? Let me know if you take something I might be missing out on.

I take magnesium every night and Loser's Chews and collagen every morning. I swear by them!

Kellyann
I love those Loser's Chews!
I didn't know about magnesium helping prevent migraines! I've been taking CoQ10 to help and it definitely decreased the frequency, but I might need to add in magnesium too!
Oh I'd say give it a try. I don't suffer with migraines (thankfully), but it helps with so many other things as well. XO
