Hey friends! Today I want to start a conversation I’ve had on my mind for quite a while. Let’s talk about the dreaded “M” word. Menopause. It’s out there, looming in the darkness, and we don’t quite know what to expect. One thing that is [probably] for sure, is we will all experience it to some extent sooner or later. What’s the saying? There are two things in life that are guaranteed…death and taxes. Well menopause may as well be added to that. There’s a new company I’d like to share with you, so let me introduce you to Womaness and what it can do for you.
Womaness is a for-women-by-women brand and their mission is sparking the power of menopositivity – a radiant, dynamic outlook that embraces who and where we are today, and today is the launch of the Womaness site. So you are among the first to know about this great resource.
Womaness was created out of a need for a place where women in their 40’s, 50’s and beyond could go to find solutions, support and inspiration as we move into menopause.
Menopause comes with a whole host of symptoms, and questions to go with those symptoms. Symptoms like hot flashes, brain fog, fine lines, vaginal dryness, low libido, and bladder leaks are among some of the most talked about. I went through menopause on the early end of the age spectrum. My symptoms started when I was 47, and by the time I was 48 I was definitely in the throws of it. I can honestly tell you that I vividly remember where I was, and what I was doing when I had my first hot flash. I’ll share more about my personal menopause journey in a future post, but for today I’m going to focus on some products I’ve been trying.
Womaness sent me some of their products and I’ve been really impressed. One of those quickly moved to the head of the line as far as my excitement went, and I’ve been using it daily. The ‘Let’s Neck’, neck and décolleté serum hydrates, lifts & smoothes. This serum relieves the thinner, creepy skin that can accompany menopause. A telltale sign of age can be our necks. Those and our hands can really betray us. The Let’s Neck Serum delivers the benefits of a collagen-boosting serum and a cream, and goes on with a cooling roller applicator that massages your skin.
I noticed within a few days that my neck was noticeably smoother and felt softer. I feel like it has helped decrease the amount lines on my neck as well.
Our necks aren’t the only place the crepe creeps in. It basically tries to invade our entire body. Nasty little booger. ‘The Works’ is a soothing all-over body cream. It contains powerhouse ingredients normally reserved for facial creams to a create a lightweight, moisturizing formula for your body that boosts elasticity, replenishes texture, and tightens crepey skin. I’ve been using this on my arms and legs, targeting my elbows and knees to reduce that yucky wrinkled look.
I was also excited to receive some dark spot treatment patches that help fade and even out dark spots. The ‘Out D@mn Spot’ patches are small and clear, and you can sleep with them on any smaller dark patches on your face, hands, and décolleté. They deliver a concentrated formula for lightening and brightening discolored skin. BTW…They stay on really well while you sleep too, so that’s a plus.
The entire line consists of 13 products, a few of which are, Gone in a Hot Flash – all over cooling mist, Go Go Liners – for light leak protection, Eye Opener – soothing & brightening cream, and several dietary supplements. For a full view of all the products go to the Womaness site and check them out.
The Womaness motto is, “Menopause, Meet Your Match”. I’m thankful there are companies that are devoted to helping us navigate this phase of life. This is not the end friends, but the beginning. We need to make sure we don’t lose sight of that. While I don’t always like to think of myself as “middle age”, the truth is I am, and with that comes freedom, wisdom and confidence. So let’s focus on that, and keep ourselves healthy.
Womaness was kind enough to give me a discount code to share with you. Use COASTTOCOAST210 for 10% off your purchase.
