Target and Old Navy at Home Try On

I feel like there are a couple times of the year when I find myself really ordering a lot of things to try. Do you do that? Of course it coincides with seasonal changes, but spring and fall are definitely when the most boxes show up on my porch. I’ve placed a couple of orders at Old Navy and Target so an at home try on is in order.

It will comes as no surprise that I’m a huge fan of Target for cute, trendy dresses and tops seasonally. I ordered several of each to share with you. It’s always amazing just how different pieces of clothing look on a real person versus the (not real…LOL) people on the website. I find often that things look so much cuter when I see them on a friend in person than online.

This dress I ordered in two different prints because I thought they were both pretty, and they are. The style of this dress has a very Anthropologie feel without the very Anthropologie price tag. I will only purchase from Anthro if it’s a sale on sale situation. I love the big blousy puff sleeve. These sleeves are so trendy, which is quite honestly a good reason to purchase a more reasonably priced version because it won’t be a “forever” piece.

I was drawn to the color, pattern and sleeves on this next one. The fabric is more of a polyester than the previous two that are cotton. It’s also fully lined which is always a huge plus. One detail you couldn’t really see on the website was the slight gathers at the neckline. They add a nice touch and I’m always a fan of an empire waist. I think it’s such a flattering cut.

I ordered several different tops from Old Navy. The first is this smocked peplum. The cut and fit are both cute and flattering and even though it’s long sleeve, the fabric is lightweight, so it will work well during the spring and early summer. It’s super cute with jeans, but can you just imagine it with white denim or cut off shorts. Ah-dorable.

As I’ve said many (many) times before, you can never have too many white tops. Who’s with me? The other thing about white tops is they can have somewhat of a short lifespan. They get stained, and dingy looking after a while, so they need to be replaced. This one is a great tunic length, with a slightly longer back than front. I love this cut at the neckline. I think it’s universally flattering. Y’all know I’m not just a huge fan of crew necks, so any kind of v-neck will always grab my attention. I like that you can wear this one out, in or do a front tuck.

SHIRT || JEANS || SIMILAR SHOES

I think I’ve shared this one before, but it bears repeating. It’s an excellent alternative to a pricier Madewell style that I’m a huge fan of. This top is super lightweight, and again can be worn so many ways. Half tuck, full tuck, front tuck , out or it also looks cute tied in a knot. I find myself frequently doing this with shirts since I’m short waisted. It allows for a more tailored look without cutting me in half.

SHIRT || JEANS || SHOES

I’ll tell you right now, that the little top above I’m finding myself wanting to wear frequently. It’s so comfortable and cute, and it’s going to be so good this summer when it’s hot. It would be super cute with white jeans and a denim jacket too. Maybe I’ll show that for the white jean share I’m in this week on Instagram. My day is Friday and I’ll be sharing ways to style white jeans with 4 friends.
