Is there anything better than a little white dress for summer? I love that the rule book has been thrown out with the whole “no white until after Labor Day” thing and white is now being worn year round. I do however really love wearing white in summer though. White against tan skin is so pretty, and thanks to all the great self tanners now available, we no longer have to bake in the sun to achieve that healthy glow. On a side note, my favorite tanner is Loving Tan. No smell, great natural color and easy application. Now back to white in summer.
Just like a LBD (little black dress) should be in every woman’s closet, a LWD (little white dress) is also a great option to have for summer wear.
I have been a fan of the Boho style for quite some time, and this LWD embodies that style. It’s sweet with it’s ruffles, and the cotton is nice and thick. I did wear a short half slip under it because just like with most white skirts or dresses when the sun is out you can see the silhouette of your body under the dress/skirt.
Accessorizing this was easy. I just added one of my favorite pairs of summer sandals, my favorite summer hat (super affordable) and this great rope tote. The tote can be carried as a summer purse, or used for the pool/beach. I also think it would be a great summer diaper bag for mamas with littles.
My little pearl necklace was just the perfect piece to wear at the neck, and pearl earrings of course.
