Hey friends and happy Wednesday! I’ve been sharing things in the past few months and they all have one thing in common. The material, and I can’t quit buying it. This summers “it” fabric is the most perfect gauzy material. I am so in love with this fabric that I buy everything I can find in it…or at least that’s how I feel.
It all started back in the spring when I started seeing this shirt take Instagram by storm. Well you know I had to get in on that. I’ve shared the shirt several times, and in June it was even one of the top 10 sellers. I like it so much I have it in two colors, and I’ve been pretty bossy telling friends and family members they needed to get it. HA!
The heat in Nashville is different from the heat in California. In California we have a dry heat. It’s much more manageable than the humid heat here in Nashville. Luckily, I’m used to the humidity having grown up in the Southeast, but that doesn’t mean I don’t do whatever I can to make myself more comfortable.
Enter this gauzy little sundress. It is so cute and comfortable, and guess what. It.Has.POCKETS. Yep, we all love us some pockets, don’t we? One day when I wore this dress, I wore a strapless bra, but this particular day I wore a Free People bralette. Soooo much more comfortable. Is it just me, or do you just hate strapless bras? I think they are just so uncomfortable. (OH, if you look over my shoulder, you’ll see a wedding party in the background. That is a beautiful old church, and a wedding had just ended when we were going to dinner.)
There’s a cami version of this dress that I also have. Again, so cool and comfortable and the fabric is just perfect for summer

Super cute dress for beating the heat in style, Lisa! I really like this color on you. And that gauzy fabric really is so great when the humidity spikes. I just ordered some bralettes for myself so I hopefully can ditch some bras for the rest of summer!

I am with your friend, I cannot stop with the gauzy material! The fabric is just so soft and so perfect for summer and this color, like an orchid color is so beautiful and one of my favorites. One of my favorite sweatshirts from Old Navy is in this color, a lil lighter, but I think you have it too and I’ve worn it to death! I have the nickel and suede round orchid earrings that would go perfect with that dress, I think I’m gonna need it! You look so cute!

I'm so loving this gauze fabric this summer, too! I picked up that blouse in lilac after seeing it on Andrea and I love it! Your dress is adorable and I may have to pick one up! I had to laugh when I saw your black and white post this week as I had just scheduled mine! Great minds think alike! Lol!
