Happy Friday!!! I have been confused all week as to what day it is. Does that happen to you? It was a big week around here, so let’s look at what I’ve been wearing lately and this weeks favorites. Spoiler alert…it was a great week.
I’m having fun wearing several new pieces I’ve added to my closet recently. These Spanx cargo pants are made of the best material. They are soft and stretchy and so comfortable. You know I’m obsessed with anything made out of the ever popular gauze fabric that seems to be everywhere. This blouse from Loft is so stinkin’ soft and comfortable and goes with everything.
I finally got to wear this sleeveless turtleneck sweater that I bought back in August. It’s so perfect with my gray jeans that I bought at the same time and a denim jacket. It layers so well under denim or one of my shackets. I’ll share those looks soon. I love these gray jeans. They are super comfortable, but that’s no surprise since they are from KUT from the Kloth. Truly one of my favorite brands.
This long plaid tunic is one of my Nordstrom sale purchases, and I finally got to wear it too. It’s such a great weight and absolutely perfect for this time of year. I think this will get a lot of wear this fall and then again in the spring. It’s adorable with jeans, but will work beautifully leggings. My Good American jeans are fantastic. The fabric is soft and stretchy and they have some kind of technology that really holds you in in all the right places. I’ve worn these black mules almost every day this week. I wasn’t even sure if I was going to keep them, but I’m so glad I did.
You know how I feel about smocking. I love wearing it, and it definitely falls under favorites. This little top is perfect for warm fall days. It’s lightweight but still gives fall vibes. My new J Crew cropped boot cut jeans have been such a good buy. I did score them on sale, so that’s an immediate win, but I’ve worn them more times than I even want to tell you since getting them. FYI, I sized down in them.
It was a super fun week around here. Kellyann and Shelly came to visit and we got together with a few of our other local blogger/Instagram friends for lunch. We did a lot of eating, hanging out, some shopping and got pedicures. It was a lot of good girl time.
Since the girls were here…and my birthday was yesterday, that means there were treats a plenty. Jeni’s ice cream is one of our favorite places and on your birthday you get free ice cream. If you know me very well, you know I have a sweet tooth that won’t slow down. We also went to a darling coffee shop we’d been to before called the Frothy Monkey and got an afternoon pick me up in the form of an oatmilk latte and cookie. I can’t think of a better way to spend time with friends.
Finally a few pictures from yesterday. Kent and I walked in the morning, and I don’t think I will grow tired of seeing the horses. I love them. I got to go to lunch with some girlfriends and then dinner with Katie and Kent. Katie and I took this selfie before Kent came outside. HA!
Whew, see that was a busy week, and my heart is full. I think birthdays should be celebrated all week long. Anyone else feel this way?
That wraps up what I’ve been wearing and this weeks favorites. If you missed Monday’s Amazon Favorites post, click here. Wednesday I shared a new to me retailer and you can read that here. I hope you have great weekend.

Love these pieces- especially the grey jeans- you look amazing! And I'm so jealy that you girls get together like this! It's so fun! xx
Sounds like a fun time spent with friends! I have a sleeveless sweater and I am definitely going to pair it with my jean jacket now; that will be such a fun fall look. Thanks for the idea.
I’ve been in search of petite olive cargo pants and no luck so I was excited to see you in these. They are a bit over my normal price range but I know I’ll wear them a lot. How do they run? What size are you wearing?
Hi Gloria! They are such a good pair. I'm actually wearing a large, but I kind of wish I'd gotten a medium. I consider myself a true size 6 and almost all of my other Spanx are mediums. Have a great weekend. XO https://rstyle.me/+WXF8naOUlaeFBl9Hvfn2jw
