Fun with Fringe

Hi friends! For today’s post, have I got a jacket for you? We’re going to have some fun with fringe. Who remembers the boiled wool jackets from the late 80’s? I had several, including a beautiful yellow one that my mom made. Have I ever mentioned she’s an incredible seamstress and jack of all trades? I’d like to think some of that was passed on and/or rubbed off on me. The one I’m sharing with you today is a jacket from Chico’s. It’s an updated version of the boiled wool jackets from back in the day.

This jacket is a longer length, with a collar and it has F R I N G E. That’s the detail that caught my eye. It’s absolutely adorable and can be worn multiple ways. I first paired it with this great pair of girlfriend straight leg jeans and animal print sweater, also from Chico’s. The jeans look cute with ankle booties like I have on here, but they also look really cute with a pair of mules. I’m really into gray jeans right now. This is my second pair.

Sunday I wore the jacket to church with my Spanx Perfect Pants. These are the slim straight style in petite, making them the perfect length for my 5’3″ frame. I’m telling you, these pants are everything a pair of Spanx should be. The material is nice and thick, conceals the things that need concealing and it stretchy. They are honestly so comfortable, you aren’t dying to take them off.

The blouse is from Loft and it’s just as sweet as can be. It has tuxedo cuffs, and little ruffled collar. The material reminds me of eyelet. Of course these leopard heels (my all time favorites) were the natural choice. I think I get complimented on these shoes every single time I wear them.
