Hi friends! What’s your favorite thing to wear? Do you prefer color or neutrals? Basics or unique pieces? There are certain things every woman should have in her closet, in my humble opinion. I think basics are always best. Among those basics are a good white blouse, a denim jacket and a comfortable pair of black pants.
I like a white blouse with a little longer length for layering, wearing out/untucked, and wearing with leggings. When in doubt, a white shirt with black leggings make an easy outfit. I dare say most women have multiple white shirts in their closets. A sleeveless white shirt is a good closet staple for summer, and one of my favorites to reach for.
The same theory holds true for denim jackets. A denim jacket is such an easy layer to grab, and can be worn with dressier looks or super casual looks. I’m developing quite a collection of denim jackets. This spring I’ve added one with darling puff sleeves, and this one with the cute peplum. This jacket is perfection. The fabric is so soft and stretchy, and very, very comfortable. A stiff denim jacket just isn’t comfortable, but this one is one of the most comfortable ones I worn.
These pants are the same as the blue pair I shared last week. They are the 360 Brigitte pants from Chico’s and crazy as it sounds, they’re as comfortable as any pair of leggings I own. If you work in an office or if you are a teacher, I’d get these pants in every color. You can thank me later. 😉
You can elevate a look made up of basics by adding some sassy shoes. These leopard pumps seem to stay in style, and I love to wear them with anything black, or when I’m looking to amp up an outfit.

I finally broke down and bought a white button down shirt this winter.. but I've only worn it once. I'm sure once our weather warms up I'll get a lot more use out of it. This is a very classic look and one I just love.
