Hi friends! A couple of weeks ago, a I had the opportunity to experience a fun afternoon with friends. It was an Amazing Co Mystery Picnic. Have you ever heard of this? I hadn’t, but when I was approached and read all about it, I thought it was a great idea. You can check out their website here.
This is such a clever idea, and a great way to spend time with friends and/or family. They are offered in a lot of cities around the country, and within those cities there are various options. We chose to go on one in the Hillsboro Village/Music Row area. These are almost like a walking food tour in a sense.
You get a series of clues on your phone that you have to “solve”. It’s a lot of fun to work together and figure out where you’ll be picking up your food items. You pick up picnic items from various places along the route…so you need to carry a cooler with you to keep them in between stops.
As you follow the clues, you’re given information about nearby places, so it’s like a self guided tour. The entire experience can take a couple hours or more, depending on how much time you want to take exploring the areas you walk through/by.
Our food stops included No Baked Cookie Dough (delish), Sandwiches and specialty lemonades from Anzie Blue, and salads from The Urban Juicer.
Once you’ve collected all your food items, a picnic spot is suggested, or you can eat them wherever you like. We ate at Dragon Park. I had taken themed paper and plastic products since we were doing ours Memorial Day weekend.
Like I said, this was a fun way to spend an afternoon with some of my favorite people, exploring, learning about a nearby area and eating. All of the places we picked up food were new to us, so that was fun too. Use my link and explore an Amazing Co Mystery Picnic for yourself. See if there is one in your area, or an area you are planning to visit. This is not a sponsored post, but if you do decide to try one, I’d love it if you used my link. I do make a commission when one is booked.
