This dress reminds me of the kind of dress I learned to make in a sewing class many moons ago. Does that ring a bell with you? They sell bolts of fabric that are smocked at the top and then fabric at the bottom. All you had to do was seam up the sides, add straps and hem it, then Voilá you had a dress.
You know I love all things eyelet, and that’s another thing that reminds me of my younger days. When I was a little girl, my mom loved eyelet, but I didn’t. Funny how things change. This little dress is fully lined with a UPF 50 fabric, so no slip needed. The straps can be adjusted just by untying them, and of course it’s nice and cool on these hot summer days.
