Perfect Fall Transition Top

I did it! I found the perfect fall transition top. Fall days are often 2 or 3 seasons rolled in to one 24 hour period. It can be below freezing when you get up, warm up before lunch, and feel like early summer by the time mid-afternoon rolls around. This top is not only super cute, the style and weight make it so good for those “what should I wear” days.

As soon as I saw this on the Nordstrom website I was smitten. The sleeves drew me right in. Not only is the puff so cute, but the contrasting print adds personality. The sleeve length is perfect for multiple reasons. The aforementioned temperature changes being the first, but there’s also the coverage. Not all women in the midlife bracket are comfortable showing their upper arms. The sleeves are a lightweight cotton, very comfortable and cover the upper arm.

The first look is suitable for work or church…or anything else you feel like wearing it too. These Spanx kick flare pants are so good. They are part of the Perfect Pant line and they are named that for a reason.

Look number 2 is my go to. A pair of jeans and a cute top. Most days of the week you’ll find me in some variation of this. Another one of the things I love about the is top is the cut. The body isn’t form fitting, but it’s also not boxy. It’s very flattering.

The last look is pairing it with a pair of faux leather pants. If you don’t have any faux leather yet, I’d like to encourage you to try it. There are so many ways to add this trend into your own wardrobe. You can find skirts, dresses, tops, shackets, joggers, and all styles of pants. Chico’s does a great job of making a very soft and comfortable faux leather, and so does Loft.

I really think if this came in other colors, I’d be very tempted to get them. It’s just so cute. I think it would also look darling paired under a pair of cute overalls.
