Talbots Timeless and Classic Style

Hi friends! Today we’re talking about Talbots! Talbots has been around for 75 years and is known for their timeless and classic style. They carry pieces that you can keep in your closet and wear year after year. They are size inclusive, so there’s something for everyone. I remember back in the late 90’s – early 2000’s they’d have a HUGE sale that started the day after Christmas. You’d literally have to get in line to get in the store, and I was always there, waiting my turn to spend my Christmas money.

I am so excited that Fair Isle sweaters have made such a huge resurgence. I have always loved this style, and this year I find myself wanting them all. This Fuzzy Fair Isle Raglan Sweater is black with the pretty caramel and ivory colors which makes it suitable for pairing with lots of options. It’s soft and warm. If you’re between sizes, I’d suggest sizing down in this one. I’m wearing a small, but I could have gone with and XS.

I chose this pair of Stretch Corduroy Straight Leg Pants in caramel to go with the sweater. The color butted up against the black makes a nice contrast, and you know how much I love a good neutral. I find myself wearing the straight leg style A LOT. They look great with a bootie like I have here, but also with a heel or flat. So they are really versatile. I’m wearing an 8P. I sized up after reading the reviews, but I think I could have stuck with my normal size. The petite length is perfect on me at 5’3″.

I’m also finding myself drawn to all kinds of coats, and now that I’m back in the south I finally have a use for them. This Faux Fur Trim Hooded Alternative Down Parka is available in four colors, but I decided this ivory would look great with this sweater and pants combo, and it really does. I’ve always loved winter white and this coat is so good.

It has a removable fur trimmed hood that is really cute, but if you don’t like a hood…just take it off and save it for a snow storm. There is a drawstring on the inside if you want to cinch in the waist.
