Christmas Party Outfits

Hi friends! This is a fun post today, because I’m teaming up with two of my friends to share a holiday party outfit. Cyndi from Cyndi Spivey and Dawn from Party til’ Dawn, and I spent some time together in Nashville a few months ago, and had this brain child when we were there to do a joint blog post. I hope that with three of us sharing, you’ll get some good inspo for your own Christmas party outfits.

Do you have a go-to look for holiday parties? I’ll be honest, I rarely wear red outside of Christmas time. It’s beautiful and I love red, I just don’t find myself wearing it other than this time of year. When I think about what to wear to a holiday gathering, red is the first color that comes to mind.

I was looking on the Nordstrom website recently and saw this beautiful red sweater. Don’t worry, if red isn’t your color, it’s available in other colors as well. I actually was just checking and it’s sold out in red, but there are several other colors that would be equally as gorgeous for Christmas and beyond.

These pants are Spanx faux leather flare leg pants and the pictures don’t do them justice. I’m wearing my normal petite medium, and they are still plenty long to wear with a heel. If you’re new here, I’m 5’3″ tall and typically a size 6 in pants. I always order medium in Spanx and if petite is an option, petite medium.

The best thing about these pieces is they aren’t outfit specific. You can wear them multiple ways. The Spanx flare legs will look good with almost anything from a white blouse and blazer, to a sequin sweater. The red sweater would work beautifully with a slip skirt, pleated skirt, faux leather joggers, black pants, or any style of jeans. Like the pants, dress it up or down.

I’ve got to mention this beautiful beaded clutch again. I shared it in this post, and think it’s soooo good for any dressed up outfit. The perfect special occasion, night out bag.

I hope now you’ll go visit Cyndi and Dawn’s blogs and see what they are sharing. We are all sharing varying degrees of dressiness for these holiday outfit ideas, so there’s something for everyone.

  • I tend to only wear red for Christmas and near Valentine's day... and I'm not really sure why as I do like the color and I've been told it looks very good on me too. But I rarely think to buy anything red unless I'm looking for a Christmas sweater.

  • As a redhead, I rarely wear red, well, period 🤣 and gravitate toward green for the holidays. That blouse is gorgeous, though, and you look great in red! Hope you're having a fab weekend, Blog Mom! xoxo
