Since I’m traveling back to Nashville today, I figured it would be a great time to share 5 of my travel must haves.
It took me a minute to get on this bandwagon, but once I did I didn’t look back. I never pack my suitcase without using them. They hold things in place, you can pack like items or outfits, and they just generally help my stay organized. (You know I’m a fan all things organized.)
Seems there are never enough outlets, especially when traveling, and even more so in condos/AirBNB’s. I use a charger with multiple ports even at home. Now that everyone own seems to need to be charged, these are a must have
I usually have quite a few accessories with me when I travel and I like to carry them in something that will protect them. I have several different options that I use depending on how long I’m planning to be gone.
This and this are both great options.
Of course I never leave my house for a trip without my computer. I used to always carry one of these totes. Then I switched to this, and most recently (for the last 3 years) I’ve been using this backpack. It has a designated pocket for my computer, and then several other zippered areas. I started putting my purse inside one of them to cut down on bags and I love it. I can put my wallet and AirPods in the font pocket, and my book in another. There are two side pockets that will hold a bottle of water and my phone. (Use code LISAR10 on Vera Bradley and can be combined with sale prices.)

I have quite a collection of toiletries bags. Depending on where I’m going, for how long, and how much room I have in my suitcase dictates what I bring. On this trip I used 3 different bags. This bag holds my travel dry shampoo, volume spray and hair spray, along with toothbrush, toothpaste, and smaller things like ponytail holders, razor, etc….
This bag holds my makeup and has enough room to throw in any extra things I might need.
I used one of these to hold my skincare and some supplements. These come in packs of three and also make for great gifts when you thrown in some small things. You could add a travel body-wash, headband, perfume atomizer (I brought 2 of these) and small face cleansing balm.
If you have a travel must have I haven’t mentioned, be sure to share. We are all looking for ways to make life easier.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.
Have a wonderful Monday!!!!

I love those packing cubes! I'm going to have to check out that Vera Bradley backpack as I hate having a totally separate bag for my laptop and then another bag with my book and other travel things (I have an old Vera Bradley laptop holder that zips flat for easy air travel but we hardly ever travel by air anymore).
