Hi friends!!! I missed YOU! I hope you missed me a little. We had a fantastic week at the beach. I think it was the hottest week we’ve ever had down there. I totally unplugged from the blog, and I definitely cut back on Instagram too, but it’s easier to pop on and off there than the blog. Today I’ve got a Loft late summer try on for you. There are some reallllly cute pieces on the website and in store.
Both of these pieces are goood. The top is adorable, and it’s a crinkly material with a little stretch. The yoke, puff sleeves and ruffles make it special.
The jeans! They’re midrise. Hallelujah. When you are a short waisted girl like me, you love a good midrise. These feel and fit great, and they’re TTS.
This is a super cute mixed media tee. The body is like a traditional tee, but the sleeves are a poplin cotton and just so dang cute. Wait until you see them under a couple of vests I found.
Here are the vests on their own, which are super cute. The multicolor on the right has a bit of a retro feel to me. They aren’t cropped, but they’re not super long either, so I really like the length.

Okay, I think these look like they were made as one. I mean are they so cute together, or what?

This is a darling very typical Loft dress. It’s a beautiful print, lightweight cotton and no lack of details. I think it’s the perfect teacher dress or even for an office atmosphere. You could add an off-white, navy or pale pink blazer and be good to go even when it gets cooler. Switch shoes to booties, or add a cute sweater and sneakers. There’s really a lot of potential.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it countless times. I love the Lou & Grey line at Loft. This is such a cute little dress that’s a super soft peach-skin type material. That’s why I love Lou & Grey so much. They always have super soft pieces, and you know I’m a huge sucker for anything with a soft texture. I’m wearing an XS in this and it fit really well. I wish it was a smidge longer, but it has a sporty feel, so the length works.
This dress won my heart as soon as I put it on. I knew when I saw it that it could go either way, but it is so C U T E !!! It’s a wonderful stretchy material, with no buttons or zippers. Just pull it on and go. Again, this one will transition beautifully with the addition of a blazer. You could even do red or bright pink for a fun look.
Can we just say I have some great self control. I want all of these, but my closet is already busting at the seams. HA! Are any of them calling your name?
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

So many fun looks! Those sweater vests would be great for summer and spring too.
The drawstring dress is adorable on you.
I've been wanting one of those vests, I have been seeing them everywhere! Your daughter's wedding was GORGEOUS btw, sorry I haven't had a chance to tell you that yet. Congrats!
