Well it’s that time of year. Some schools have started back and that means teachers are getting dressed for the classroom every day. I’ve got three teacher looks featuring Spanx today. These would also be work appropriate for most offices. Gone are the days of power suits and pantyhose.
The pants in these three teacher looks are the On-the-Go Wide Leg Pant with Ultimate Opacity Technology. What does that mean? It means you can’t see through them. PERIOD! Even when wearing black or red panties under them, there’s no way to tell. Use code LISAXSPANX for 10% off your entire Spanx purchase.
Note: When I take photos with my camera in front facing mode they aren’t clear. I actually just had the camera replaced this weekend. Do you know if this happens to you? If you have any tips, feel free to drop them in the comments.
The first look is this olive green blouse that works well on it’s own while it’s warm, but you can add a denim jacket, blazer or cardigan when the temperatures begin to cool off or for air conditioning. The top is from Gibsonlook and comes in several colors. I have it in this color, lilac and red. It’s fully lined and also looks cute untucked. You can use the code LISA10 for 10% off the Gibsonlook website any time.
Next up I did a quick change and paired the pants with this cute top from Avara. The colors in this one will go with almost any pair of pants, and also lots of blazers and sweaters. The hot pink shoes are a fun addition and very comfortable. Add a cute tote to carry all those teacher things. I love this one from Vera Bradley.
I think this is my favorite of the three looks. This sweater from Gibsonlook is so good. They had a couple of others that are very similar and I have equally loved them. The knit of this is so soft, and pretty. The funnel neck is a good alternative to a turtleneck, and the it’s not sleeveless, but also doesn’t technically have a sleeve. Just trust me that you will love it.
Do you have a favorite look of these three?
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

You earned an 'A' on these teacher looks, well done!
xo,

I love them all, but the first one is my favorite. I love olive green and white, but those shoes are everything. I love all the outfits I’ve seen you wear them with.
I absolutely LOVE that neutral sweater. Have a tab open to check it out. So chic. So simply gorgeous. I love that you have belted it. Looks so much prettier on you than on the Gibson Look page!! They need to put you on payroll.
