Hi friends! I’ve got a great sale alert for you today. It’s a Gibsonlook blazer sale. They are on sale 30% off with my code LISA30 and since this never happens and it makes them a real steal, let’s look at how to style the Gibsonlook blazers.
There are three styles to choose from, and I styled each of them to show you how they look.
The notch collar blazer is what we’ll call the original blazer. It’s had what you might consider a cult following for years. They are so easy to wear thanks to the soft knit they are made of. It lends itself to being dressed up for work, or worn casually with jeans and sneakers.
The notch collar comes in 14 colors and they have a cute contrast print lining so if you like to roll the sleeves, it makes it fun. The lipstick red is my newest color and it will be great for the holidays, but works year round. I paired it with my new black flare jeans and a basic white tee (also from Gibson) for a very easy classic look.
I think the double breasted blazer has only been out about a year. I really like this style for the more tailored feel it gives, but because it’s made of the same soft knit, you can wear it for work or play. I have several colors but I paired this navy with light wash jeans and a striped shirt. There are 10 colors to choose from.
The Moto jacket is also a newer release in the last year or so. It comes in 4 colors, and the rust is a new color for fall. I love this warm color. I put it with my new Spanx Kick Flare jeans and a Gibsonlook top for a cute causal Friday, date night, lunch with the girls look. The more cropped length of the Moto jacket is nice if you’re petite.
FIT TIP: I order smalls in all the Gibsonlook blazers. I have one XS, but they run small in the arms so if you plan to layer, you’ll want to go with your normal/larger size. (In tops I always get XS)
Here’s a bonus look because I was thinking about it before I started this post, and just how far fashion has come in the last 20+ years. When I worked in banking and wore blazers regularly, I couldn’t have imagined wearing one with jeans and sneakers. Fast forward, and I think its such a cute look.
If you’ve ever been tempted to style a Gibsonlook blazers, now is the time to try them. I think this is the first time they’ve offered 30% off.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
